I recently saw the the original movie. I was pretty disappointed and have no desire to watch the sequel, but it was interesting enough to make me want to watch the TV series. I hope it doesn't disappoint.

Stand Alone Complex is pretty great. Both seasons have such huge scopes to their stories. Season one is about corporate espionage and season two is about a refugee crisis gone out of control with a Che Guevera like character.
