So were're getting 2-hour remake of Senpai the Silver Wing with new animation. Do you think they'll actually be able to make a quality story of it this time, or will it be a polished turd?
I'm disappointed they're not revisiting the first season, but that ships sailed.
At least we'll get more of best girlDio.

>Senpai the Silver Wing
Hahaha
>>134728164
It'll still be bad, but I'm more interested in why they're doing this. Is there something new in the works?
>>134728164
>>134728268
Oh fuck me how did I not see that coming.
>>134728446
There's a reason people call this show "the show that won't be named"
>>134728164
Maybe it becomes bearable if it's condensed in just two hours.
>>134728164
why are they even bothering with this? If anyone still cared about Last Exile, then they'd redo the first season and fix up the pacing on the 2nd half. Maybe the redhead will die so Claus actually had al reason to join the war and make the interactions between him and blonde tomboy more natural.
Even the manga continuation of season 1 ended up being a disappointment.

surely you can do better than that
I hope everyone involved dies during earthquake.

>If anyone still cared about Last Exile, then they'd redo the first season and fix up the pacing on the 2nd half
This would be the most ideal thing for them to do. Why can't they just admit that To be Honest the Silver Family was a total shitshow
>>134728164
>-F a m, the Silver Wing-
Literally why.
Adaptations like these just don'tflywell with me.
>>134728164
Fucking hell, they should have just made hourglass into the movie.

>sempai
heh

Fammy famfam!

I like the story behind Last Exile 2 but it has some of the worst-directed battle scenes I've ever seen in anime. I'll take a lot of new animation to fix that.
>>134729313
Eh, LE2 is not irredeemably bad. While it's more that I appreciate what they were trying to do than I celebrate what they actually achieved, but there are decent bits in there.

nothing's going to beat the riflemen in season 1.
What was the point of that anyway? I know it was just a game to the guild, but were the riflemen supposed to hijack the enemy ship once they bring down the enemy riflemen (which never happened)?
>>134729833
I'd say the color pallete choice for season 2 was part of the problem as well. It was too bright (sort of the same problem with the Overlord adaptation) while the first season had brown washed-out colors everywhere that we already associated with Last Exile.
senpai a qt
Is this the show were Aoi Yuuki voices a alpha dyke?

They were supposed to score more kills than the enemy. Whoever tallied up the most kills at the end of the exchange was declared victor (and presumably made to give up some territory or sum of cash). The Anatoray and Disith forces were never really supposed to do any serious harm to one another, which is why the sneak attack by Disith came as such a shock and scandalized the Anatoray officers. I would have loved to see more of the world and the nature of the war between the two nations explained but it seems that's a pipe dream now.

Yes, there are several scenes of graphic yuri molestation in season 2.
Gonzo trying to eke out some more money
>>134729950
Mullin a best.
Best couple right here.
>>134728164
I'm always fine with more of the best girls.
>>134732653
Bullshit he didn't die though given his scene. bullshit Dio didn't die either. I'm not unhappy about both of them surviving, but it was handled really poorly like everything else with the last several episodes.

The rifle lines weren't a problem with direction, that was an in-universe result of honour codes and chivalry rules.
Go back to episode 11 of The Silver Wing and watch the Empress's assassination. What's supposed to be the point of tragedy on which the entire show's plot balances is a disjointed scrapyard jumble, whether it be just Idiot Plot decisions (bodyguards, stop doing flashy aerial combos with your Monkey extend-o-staffs and GET YOUR CLIENT UNDER COVER) or just plain incompetent direction like background characters remaining absolutely single-frame stock still as bullets land around them or only deciding halfway through a battle or background characters standing still at one moment and then running across to get shot the next as if they've just remembered they're on a mark.

oops anon, I just noticed how my second sentence for curiosity on the thing made the meaning of my entire post the opposite of what I intended
