Not everyone is the same you know, just because Mari blames him for something doesn't mean Chiyo would automatically have to either.
As for the Mari-Chairman relationship, it went from a very loving one when Mari was little to one where Mari obviously heavily dislikes her father. Something like that doesn't happen because Mari met someone charismatic that convinced her to hate all men only 2 fucking years ago.
And not to forget that the first arc made it perfectly clear that Mari acts out against the boys because of her father. So the cheating theory is perfectly reasonable and would explain alot of things.

One of the main reasons people dislike the last arc of TWGOK is that it abandoned the characters that helped make it great, many people disliked the side arcs of I am a Hero for the same reason (I'm not one of them but it's not an uncommon reaction).
True, this was only one chapter but chairman's wacky adventures have been going on for a long time and whatever payoff might be at the end probably won't be enough to justify it in my mind.
