They're still translating it on RTD, albeit slowly and we're slowly falling behind the original releases, but it's not dead yet.
The author in Japan has slowed down to one release a week, since she's busy with publishing the books, her day job, as well as the new Monster Hunter game. So really now should be the time to catch up.

The last translated chapter of Kumo was 216. The last new Japanese chapter was 239.
Yes, RTD immediately picked it up after Turbo dropped it, but RTD don't work as fast as Turbo and they also do a lot of other stuff. They seem to be more interested in Slave Harem than Kumo.

The only member of RTD that seems to be interested in Kumo is Solpower, and he's been away for a while. Nursing his sick father according to a comment on their forums. He's back now and says he'll try to do more Kumo "in the not too distant future." So maybe there's some hope.

Why doesn't /a/ translate Kumoko? It can't be that hard. Turbo didn't know Japanese or that much English and managed to knock out something readable using google translate.
