Well, part of the problem is that the network in charge of YGO in NA (or at least Burgerland) is Nick. For those that HAVEN'T somehow heard of this, Nick is absolutely terrible to outside productions, and doesn't treat their non-Spongebob internal productions much better. Getting on Nick is referred to as a "Bad Ratings Gauntlet" because Nick often doesn't let newer shows get a chance, and will commonly preempt newer shows with Spongebob reruns at the drop of a hat, ESPECIALLY around holidays and during the summer. Getting put on Nicktoons is basically a death sentence for a show, since not all cable providers even give access to it in Burgerland.
YGO's already on life support in the States, though, so it's not really a surprise that it's on one of the worst kids' programming networks.

Nope, every arc was great. The fillers were unneeded but added a great layer of characterization to many DM characters. I didn't mind Duelist Kingdom rules since that was when the game was at an early point in its life and I thought utilizing the elemental attributes of monsters with respect to the playing field was creative. Honestly, you're an autist if you can't separate the card game from the anime. At least back then, DM was more about telling a story than shilling cards like the YGO series nowadays. KC Grand Prix was just pure fun, my favorite Kaiba duel is still him vs. Ziegfried just because of how hard Kaiba curbstomps his ass. I haven't read the manga but I didn't really see any problems with the Millennium World arc, shit was cathartic and gave me all the closure I needed. There are definitely problems in each arc but I can't say I hated any of them or that they were trash. I enjoyed them all very much.
