After carefully watching the episodes, you can tell that all of the matsu's have more depth to their characters than at first glance. People forget about the Karamatsu part of the Ichimatsu-cat episode because it didn't seem real. It was too cruel.
But in view, it was the truth. Ichimatsu is the most loved by the brothers because he needs the support, while they outright deny Karamatsu any attention because he wants it so bad.
Jyushimatsu is the groups enforcer. He values nothing but his brother's orders and is the most content among the group in his situation. He lacks all desire, having truly attained a state of enlightenment and joy simply being alive.

It's probably true that a lot of fans are biased because of the VA. Still, Jyuushimatsu's a quirky character more than he is a childish character (that's officially Osomatsu). I think it's more interesting the way his voice is.

Thus far, I've been enjoying it a lot. I'd say it's somewhere between the green and red jacket series in regards to overall tone. People expecting something as different and polarizing as The Woman Called Mine Fujiko might be disappointed though.

I'm really, really loving it so far. I love European feeling of it, the gorgeous animation and awesome soundtrack and the light-heartedness. Personally, I think it's one of this year's stand-outs and definitely one of the best shows this season. I can't say I was familiar with the original Osomatsu-kun series before this started airing, but have they changed the main characters too much from their original portrayal? I took a quick look at an ep or two of thea 1988 and the original black and white one but the Matsus didn't really seem to have much personality, the little of what I saw had all 6 generally getting along with each other and sharing with the same expression and speaking in unison.
Were their personalities in this new series made up or exaggerated from their original series? They're way more likeable, memorable and well-defined in Osomatsu-san, but if they're basically new characters that kind of defeats the point of making this a revival of an existing series.
