From my own judgment I think he is setting up the most impossible to stop keikaku ever in the secret wish of seeing it beaten by someone.
Aleister gave free hints for Noukan about how the Anti-Art Attachment would fail, and I believe this meant he wanted Noukan to defeat Kamisato even in this hopeless situation for him.
The existence of magic in-universe means it won't really be possible to get all philosophical.

Well, in the end it was a failure for Touma regardless of how his fight with Kamisato went.
Touma wanted everybody's smiles, but his solution for the sisters's problem wasn't really working and Neph had to sacrifice herself in the end. Even if she said she was happy about it and it is what she wanted to do I can tell Touma didn't want anyone to sacrifice themselves like that.
And in the end he got mad with Kamisato, failing into the kind of thinking Othinus warned him not to start using in his fights.
Meanwhile it was a failure for Aleister, Noukan and Kamisato as well.
Aleister plan is going smoothly and that's terrible, Noukan didn't manage to surpass Aleister's expectations and Kamisato didn't really manage to defeat Othinus, the last magic god, because the Invisible Thing stopped him.
Also, Kakine indirectly jobbed again and became food to boot.
In short, everybody failed except Neph. The Magic Gods won this volume.

Touma's plan was too risky to begin with, and he knew. In the end his plan only worked because of Neph, but it also defeats the whole purpose of his plan because someone had to sacrifice in the end. Neph was fine with it and all, but I doubt Touma was fine with her sacrifice.
