There's 40 episodes of filler and character assassination.

Worst is probably the original, but then again it is the most necessary. It's dated, but essential.
GX varies from being okay to complete trash, though it has its redeemable moments. It's still fun, but gets better later in the series.
5ds starts really strong, but suffers from a sour underuse of great characters and overuse of boring characters; ie. Yusei. Also the second half of the series is junk.
Zexal is infamous for being terrible, though there are plenty of bits that are some of the best moments in all of Yugioh. Unlike 5ds, it's in the second half that it starts to get good.
Arc V is practically indisputably the best, with great writing, great effects, fantastic characters, beautiful music, and an inhumane amount of lore.

Because usually when DM came out to play Yugi had several support cards to make use of him, Jaden jilts himself by using Neos due to how slow and weak the guy's gimmick is. It's also extremely costly because non neos fusion could protect itself from being banished,destoryed or bounced and Chaos Neos is one of the worst ones due to it's effects requiring a game of chance.
The deck is even harder to run due to the fact if you manage to pull of a contact fusion you've just thrown 3 cards back into your deck which makes it even harder to draw something you may need like a trap card or a stall card. Instead, you'll very likely draw Neos again or a neo spacian once your fusion easily gets defeated next round or solemned. The deck is really really bad, maybe even worse than Union,Geniemi or Ritual decks.

Duelist Kingdom was the epitome, but DM never really got totally rid of that kind of bullshit. GX toned it down a bit, but it was still silly in some places, though generally the more ridiculous effects had nearly impossible conditions that were onlymet with cards or effects that could never be printed. With the exception of final bosses, the series has been more sober with card effects since then, though, though I guess the real card game has also gotten crazier.

Took a while but I'm finally caught up, around 80 or so episodes in the span of 4 days.
Ultimate Falcon's debut was kind of weak compared to Satellite Cannon's, almost felt like they couldn't have Shun's new ace job, so they gave him a newer, better ace to job with.
Also fuck Crow's kids too, last episode there was nothing they could say about Shun, losing everything at once without being able to do anything is worse than starting with nothing, but still being able to work your way to the top like Jack.

It's also weird how the attack naming scheme changes, Brave Claw Revolution, whatever Blazeit Falcon had, Revolutionary Air Raid, Eternal Avenge, all had a sort of underlying theme of rebellion, and then Final Glorious Pride?
