What manga are you typesetting/translating/ripping?

Have time to help?
tinyurl com/ScanlationBulletin

Need help on anything related to scanlation or want to request scanlation? Post here.

I guess you can aslo talk about manga you read here. Not an one page thread.

Qualia the Purple
Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge

I'm the guy who was scanlating Aventurier, that one manga about the original Arsene Lupin. Just posting here to say I've gotten my hands on the original volumes (since only the first two were torrented).

So, is it possible to scan a manga without utterly ruining it?

Heads up, random magazines on EbookJapan are free for some reason. Ultra Jump (ウルトラジャンプデジタル) and Monthly Spirits (月刊!スピリッツ) are what I found so far.

>scan a manga without utterly ruining it

You mean the physical book itself? Not if you want it done right. If you're careful, maybe you can rebind it. Even if you don't, you'll have to bend it to get the pages flat, which might quality as "ruin" in your book.

I've never read Aventurier.

Ah, fuck. Well, I might as well delay the scans for when I catch up with the parts that have already been scanned.

Aventurier ~Shinyaku Arsène Lupin~?

Uh-huh. There's also a sequel manga that started after they cancelled the first Aventurier. They've re-released the first manga in two volumes.

A good starting place it to just search for "月刊" and sort by price. Not sure which magazines are shit, though.

Might be cool, looking forward to it, then.

It's pretty good, it's almost a word for word adaptation of the original novels.
