What you're going to want to do is learn basics, learn how to construct bodies with shapes, study anatomy (you don't need to be able to draw a replica, just understand where certain muscles should be and how it looks), copy other artists work and see if you can identify techniques, look up guides on youtube. It takes a long time to get anywhere near being "decent", i've been drawing my whole life and i've only recently gotten to a point where people don't just say "it looks crap, you need to learn more" for the most part.
I can't emphasize enough though learning to construct things, trying to draw straight up is something that doesn't come easily and has to be practiced AFTER you get good at learning the rest of the shit you need to know before hand. It seems daunting, but I'm assuming this will be a hobby for you. People here expect high quality work, don't let it get you down, try to enjoy what you're drawing and draw whenever possible. All progress is progress regardless of how small it is or how slow you're going.
