No, it's not about translation errors. There are a lot of reasons LMS got boring though.Grinding became pointless, he stopped getting new skills and you can't even know his damage because the author simply says shit like "this attack does % more than the previous" or "this attack was enough to one shot this monster, while on that monster it didn't even make it flinch".
He falls behind in levels to accomplish quests above his capabilities by summoning creatures that are dumb as hell, he's greedy as fuck but doesn't know how to use his fame/infamy as WarGod to get money, he is supposedly someone who hated parties but 90% of the time he acts with other people around, so on and so forth.
For each line of actual text there are four lines describing how greedy he is and how everybody else thinks he's nota for some reason. Yet these same people that condemn him for being greedy and thinking everybody else is being fooled get fooled by him again time and time again.
Then when he makes an amazing sculpture he asks 1 copper for it and doesn't even name it. He also for some reason thinks that someone feeding him food when he is sick is trying to kill him, and when that person saves his life and speaks for the first time she is actually deceiving him "to make sure she doesn't drop a leather piece of armor"
Then after he wins a war from people trying to fuck his city he doesn't want anything on the negotiation and liberates all prisoners for free.

The fact that he uses sculpture life bestowal instead of sculpture destruction is already tells the tale that the author has no intention of letting Weed get too powerful. He makes him lose tons of art stat, fame and levels when he could just destroy a masterpiece and be as strong as all his creatures combined.
Also, the spirits are basically useless. The fact that he extended the contract with the Church of Freya despite not knowing of the threat from the other kingdoms using all his points that he would otherwise spend wisely going on a trip he had no idea would take 23 days to come back isn't just luck either, it's the author putting everything into place conveniently, which is basically gary stu syndrome where the world revolves around the MC.
