As far as I know, to use ex, you just have to have an account at e-hentai and log into it. I don't know anything about hidden galleries or missing content because I have never encountered it.

Anyway a replacement that is centralized is fucking retarded. What we need is a completely decentralized system that still offers the advantages of sad panda (tags, viewable in a browser, etc).
I've been thinking about this a lot since before all of this happened and I think I've come up with something that could work well but I still need to write some concrete specs before starting working on it, so I guess I'll do that now.
