This Dream Thread general is for discussion of:

>dreams and interpretation
>nightmares and creepy dreams
>sleep paralysis
>lucid dreaming
>precognitive dreams
>astral projection/OBE
>everything else dream related

Please post here, rather than making a new thread for your own stuff.

Before you post, some guidelines:

1. If you need help with any sort of dream, lucid, SP, recurring, etc, or even just remembering in general, the best advice anyone can give you is to start a dream journal.

2. Giving advice or analyzing someone else's dreams does not require any sort of authority. If you think you can do it, feel free to give some other people a response.

3. Even if you don't believe this is a paranormal topic, this keeps the influx of individual dream threads from piling up, reducing the clutter and helping people find what they want more easily.

Some websites to help you out:

Reposted from the other thread

First off I should tell you that I hear the voice of many spirits. They talk to me and try to get me to do bad things or try to get me to do good things. I guide them. I tell them I know their hearts and their thoughts at every moment. I tell them that if they had waited they would have had a reward from me or if they had not slowed down the same. Sometimes the try to destroy me or test me and they are themselves destroyed or they find no fault in me. That's important to now to get this dream.

So I'm in a hotel doing something I forget when someone called me name over the PA. I'm taking zoloft atm for bipolar disorder so my thoughts are becoming more ordered and even keel. I usually think about my dreams after them and try to interpret them.

>Be me, psychic spiritist
>In a posh vegas casino wandering or something
>Someone calls my name over the PA so I go to meet three people.
>One s a priest
>We get in a car and the priest tells us of the exorcism event in the church. How there is a demon doing destructive stuff. I get the feeling that I'm supposed to be there but not to do anything.
>The car drives past the street to the church, but no one tells me I just know their thoughts so I get out of the still moving car and walk through a field to the church. They double back and pick me up on the right road to take me there.

I'm pretty autistic so I didn't notice this while I was dreaming but when they picked me up everyone had this look on their face like I had passed their test or acted in a way totally my own and completely my nature. That may be hard to understand.
>We get at the church and there is all kinds of graffiti. Swords painted in the window but they are fuzzy and warped. I can't tell what the demon did and what was originally the churches but its weird.
>There is graffiti across the front door, visible when driving up but I forget what it said.
>We step in.
>It's like a horror room antechamber, so much gray and dimness like a condemned church even though it looks new on the outside. See what might be human bodies in advance decay or extreme listlessness laid across the pew. Huge cobwebs in the corners. and on some of the pews. The over all energy is stagnant.
>White, boulbous looking demon like oogy-boogy crossed with elephant man with a dead man's texture gets up from resting at the piano and starts telling everyone, the priest, the man, and the woman, why they are worthless and unable to exorcise him.
>Everyone except me
>Something (the spirits) pull a wool cap over my head and try to get me to say the words "What about me?" And try to ask the demons "What about him (me)? Is he jesus? Err, is he LIKE jesus?"
>I don't say it because I don't let spirit control my body. Never have never will.
>They believe I am like jesus but test me. They are flawed.
>I try to pull the cap up but it lengthens to cover my face whenever I try to pull it out of my eyes.
>I wake up while the demon is still laying into them paying me not a lick of mind.
I'm on day 3 of zoloft and I'm loving it. I am bipolar, anxious, OCD, depressed etc and its fixing all of it and turning me back into the normal human I used to be before being put on adderall so many years back.

I had a dream I snuck into a fair, found an abandoned bus and went to sleep in it. Then I woke up someone was coming with a flashlight. And fell asleep crawling the fence to get out because I was so tired. Then I woke up. :P

>go outside

>Atlantic Ocean somehow connected all the way to the Midwest
>hop on boat that someone is already starting
>two hot af foreign girls hop in
>boat starts moving
>realize best friend isn't with me
>owner of the boat trying to get me to not go after him
>FuckNo.jpg
>jump in to ocean and swim to shore
>run through park until best friend is found

I used to have a recurring dream as a kid that I'd wake up from screaming, don't know if anything similar has been heard of or what it could mean, I'd love interpretations.
>The dream would start with me floating through this completely black void, sort of like a tunnel but I couldn't see or feel as if it had boundaries, sort of like empty space but I couldn't move any way but forward and backward, and it wasn't at my will
>I'd have no body in the dream
>I could "see" but never felt the need to blink
>I remember hearing this constant weird deep rushing sound, kind of like wind rushing past your ears but steady and deep
>I would feel myself drift through this tunnel for what felt like hours, I could never wake myself up naturally from the dreams and they would go on for what felt like an eternity
>After hours of nothing a scenario would materialise, like a little diorama of an event or place
>One I remember specifically is a park, a swing, a see saw, parents pushing their children
>I tried calling out to them, interacting, but could never get their attention. Everything seemed still, frozen in time
>I would eventually feel my body being pulled back away from the scene, and i would continue being pushed through this tunnel for hours until I somehow would wake up screaming and crying

I think i had the dream 3-4 times, the first few were frequent but it happened again a couple years on

A few months ago I woke up and began to do my routine of replaying my dreams in my head multiple times. I suddenly remembered where my surface/computer wipes(that I had been looking for last night) were. I remember putting them in my backpack that was inside my closet. As I was recalling this, I "imagined" reached down into my backpack and feeling the texture of the wipes. I was amazed at how I was able to feel the complete outer texture of the soft package of wipes.

My sense of touch in my dreams is pretty realistic. I am able to feel people's skin and clothing with great detail but I get too excited and wake up.

Exactly
but it seems like many people still make new threads rather than posting it here, i've often posted a sage thread in such threads, telling the OP to go here, but it seems to have little effect, and often they seem to ignore my comment
Got an idea on how to make the thread more attractive?
>>
>Reposting from other thread:

I'm not sure where I'm going with this and it isn't even especially paranormal but I know you guys would be the best to ask about it over /sci/.

Anyhow, for many reasons I won't delve into detail about as it is time-consuming and largely irrelevant, I have severe dissociation (among other things) from an abusive childhood. I generally view myself as a 'third-person' most of the time.

I don't exactly lucid dream (I wouldn't say that I can control it; there have been two or three single instances that I can remember over the last couple of years where I've realized that I was inside of a dream and I've woken myself up or I've hopped into another dream.) That being said, last night, after waking up from a dream, it finally clicked that most of the time while in a dream, I'm aware of what is going on enough to question things (for example: my dream was being somewhere that I do not currently recall and I remember wondering to myself "Why am I here?" because I knew how out-of-place it was.) I realized that my 'third-person perspective' carries over into dreamland too. I can't really explain this any better and I'm not really looking for help or advice but do any of you experience anything like this at all?

I've had sleep paralysis for years now. And it is often accompanied by lucid dreaming. Whenever it happens, I see this figure, except he is all white, and misty, aside from the dark voids that seem to be his eyes. He's usually in three positions;

>1.) Peeking from behind the door frame
>2.) Standing in the corner of the room
>3.) Right above me as pictured above.

What does it mean? He doesn't seem hostile, but he's always making me feel uneasy and scared. I'm always able to go back to bed normally.

His presence is accompanied by a very loud TV-like static, which tends to grow louder and louder until I either wake up, or he "moves."
He only moves when he's behind the door, and when he moves he turns into a white cloud and rapidly moves behind me, and I wake up.

Any similar experiences? Any comments? It doesn't bother me anymore. I get the feeling that he's curious, and doesn't want to hurt me.

Almost every night now I have the same event occur in my dreams.
Dream will go as normal, and then suddenly an event which is similair to sleep paralysis will occur within the dream.
>walking/running/general dicking around in normal dream
>suddenly everything stops, it all just freezes
>no one moves
>strange voice occurs and starts screaming something incoherent at me
>I know for some reason that I must never look at it, no matter how much I want to
>It keeps screaming, gets right up to my face most nights
>pulls at me
>scratches at me
>all I can do is try and close my eyes as tight as I can because I can't move to look away
>this goes on for a seemingly eternal amount of time until I wake up from the sun hitting me in the morning
Jesus christ I have had actual sleep paralysis, and this is far, far worse. I can't escape, or rationalise this, and I don't know what to make of it, as this thing seems so horrific I can't bring myself to acknowledge it's existence in my dreams, and the people living with me have said they have heard me screaming in the night (I am male). I don't know what to do, do I look at it? Can I say something? Help please...

here is where shit gets weird:

>suddenly fucking alien(?) invasion out of nowhere
>giant weirdly shaped spaceships come from the sky and tear the entire planet apart until it's pretty much just tiny islands of land floating around, somehow held together by an atmosphere
>i apparently get killed in the missile rain

My last night was spent mostly phasing in and out of sleep paralysis.

Various creatures like that and feverish "thought-dreams" all night long. It was hell, but kind of interesting.

I remember "waking up" frequently to shadowy creatures like that, except a bit more colorful, they wouldn't say anything but I felt that they were threatening for some reason.

I could move naturally, however a weird "shadow arm" materialized from my body that I could move if I concentrated and pick up a knife that was beside me (which also wasn't real, I don't have a knife in my room lel) and use it to wave it around and threaten them.

If you take out having to go back to sleep with chills running down my spine the whole night and the dreadful ringing in my ears between episodes it was kind of fun.

Had this one a few nights ago
>walking around in my house, it's snowing outside
>only wearing pajama pants, must have just gottenout of bed
>walk into living room
>my oneitis is sitting on the couch eating a Twinkie (she doesn't even like twinkies)
>ask her something, I don't remember what
>she just looks at me and says "Why did the chicken cross the road?"
>I ask her other questions and every answer is just a dumb joke
>walk into kitchen and my dad is squatting
>wake up
>>
>>17523635
Your subconscious is trying to tell you that you should not go for your oneitis, because if so you will end up becoming suicidal (Why did the chicken cross the road? Because it wanted to get to the other side; i.e Death. The chicken is referring to you).

She was eating a twinkie because she does not care anymore about her weight now that she is with you, she is slowly destroying herself by doing something she does not like (eat twinkies).

She answers with what you say is dumb jokes because again, she does not care anymore.

You dad is squatting? Maybe he is feeling ashamed?

This is just my opinion however, and I could be completely wrong, that is why you should remember that all your dreams is just your subconscious (and some outside factors like sounds, but not as important), therefore you should ultimately know what it means if you think about it. Asking others (like us retards on /x/) will ruin whatever wisdom you can receive from analyzing your dreams.

How often do you use the computer? I had a similar experience except I used ~tcl (Fallout 3) to go through walls and escape. There was no keyboard but I used my muscle memory and thoughts to do this.

This is a dream I had a couple weeks ago

>Driving at night with my mom and older sister
> Raining really fucking hard, can't see much
> All of a sudden a tree falls in front of us
>Mom slams on the breaks and we hear a loud crash behind us
> mom goes out to investigate
> All I hear is an unknown woman screaming a crying
>Shes screaming about her husband being in ctical condition
>The screams are so shrill they wake me up

Even though it was a dream I felt guilty when I woke up

This is something from about one month ago. I kept having dreams that an invisible force was trying to drag me out to somewhere.

>be me
>be in bed trying to rest
>suddenly don't feel alone
>look around, can't see anyone
>get out of bed and meet a person
>complain to person about the thing that keeps trying to drag me away
>he asks what I'm gonna do about it
>I reply: "I don't know, but it will never have me"
>just as I say that I start feeling pulled
>herewegoagain
>try to resist, but it manages to drag me to the door
>I look at the pitch black sky outside, feel pretty sure that it's trying to drag me towards a specific spot in that void
>as a last ditch effort, I cling to the doorframe
>it works and I can't be dragged further, though it keeps trying for a long while

After it gave up, I just woke up.

Okay.

>someone doesn't want to be a satyr
What the fuck is wrong with them?**
>>
Ever since I was a little kid, 3 or so, I've had a reoccurring dream.
Little things might change here and there but it's usually the same basic sequence.
>There used to always be something on the first floor of my house, maybe trying to hurt me or my family, trying to set the house on fire or just generally being ominous. I never knew what it was tho. I'm not sure if it's there all the time now.
>I would then run into my parent's room and try to keep the door shut, but it's always too small to fill the door hole, architrave, w/e.
>After a while I'd give up and run fast as I could to smash the windows to get out the house.
>When I was younger I'd be able to flap my arms and fly but that gradually became impossible the older I got.
>I live on a terrace so it's always been a race to run as fast as I could to get down to the train station opposite, where I'd be safe.
Where I go after that has always differed.

A lot of the time I don't even stick around to go through everything, I'll just jump straight out the window bc I don't think I've ever had a good dream set in this house.

The dream's come to me a few times a week for the last 20 years. I always thought it was about the adventure but until I wrote it out now I didn't realise how much emphasis was put on escape.
I have about as happy a home life as the neoxt person, there's nothing I'd wanna escape from. My parents are decent and we've always got on. Idgi.

This is a pretty cool discovery you've made.
I guess you can do anything (except die) in a dream, but using an incorrect command on a computer to escape a nightmare? It just doesn't seem quite right.
Next time, try to summon a portal gun that leads straight to your bed. See what happens.

How do i get into lucid dreaming?astral projection?
Any tips or books online that might help me?
Thanks in advance.

Posting this here for a friend. She's mildly disturbed by the dream she had while taking a nap a little bit ago. Was hoping someone here could help me find any symbolism in it, or just why it was so obscure. I'll paste it as she said
killed a whole group of little dancers and their coaches because one of them stole my keys/keychain and wouldn't give it back, and her coaches and teammates defended her. After I killed them, I literally stuck my head in an oven. Then I saw my body being dragged out of the building by the police. I set them all on fire individually, Mason.
What's wrong with me

Dance Class
To dream that you are in dance class indicates that you need to learn to let go. The dream may also be a metaphor that you are learning the steps to some new project, new process or new stage in your life.

Key
To dream that you lose your keys signify fears of losing control of yourself or losing your position or status in life. It may also indicate unexpected changes, frustrations, and unpleasant adventures. The dream could be analogous to lost or missed opportunities. If you give your key away, then it suggests that you have given up control of some situation or responsibility.

Key Chain
To see a key chain in your dream indicates your ability to adapt to most any situations. You fit in with anybody and anywhere.

Killing
To dream that you kill someone indicates that you are on the verge of losing your temper and self-control. Consider the person you have killed and ask yourself if you feel any rage towards her or him in your waking life. Your dream may be expressing some hidden anger. Alternatively, you may be trying to kill an aspect of yourself that is represented by the person killed. Identify the characteristics of this person and ask yourself which of these qualities you are trying to put an end to.

Suicide
To dream that you commit suicide represents your desperate desire to escape from your waking life. You may be harboring feelings of guilt that you cannot get over and thus turning the aggression on yourself. You need to start approaching problems from a different angle. Alternatively, the dream suggests that you are saying good-bye to one aspect of yourself and hello to a whole new you. It is symbolic of a personal transformation or a new stage in your life.

>>
>>17528403
Oven
To see a hot oven in your dream indicates passion, loyalty, warmth, devotion, togetherness and unselfishness. You are surrounded by friends and family. Alternatively, an oven symbolizes the womb. You are either in anticipation or in fear of having children. Consider the phrase " a bun in the oven" to indicate a pregnancy.

Corpse
To see a corpse in your dream represents an aspect of yourself that has died. Or it may mean that you are unexpressive. You have shut yourself down and are dead inside.

Drag
Dreaming that you are being dragged signifies a lack of power or control in the direction you are going. You are feeling forced to do something that you don't really feel like doing. Alternatively, being dragged symbolizes reluctance in some endeavor. Perhaps you are feeling unmotivated or uninspired. You are not doing your fair share.

Police
To see the police in your dream symbolizes structure, rules, power, authority and control. You need to put an end to your reckless behavior or else the law will catch up to you. Alternatively, the dream refers to failure in honoring your obligation and commitments. Dreaming that you are running from the police means that you are refusing to face the consequences of your actions. It also indicates that you are rejecting certain rules.

Fire
To dream that you can start fire with your hands represents anger that you are trying to repress. You have difficulty expressing yourself and tend to overreact. To dream that you put out a fire signifies that you will overcome your obstacles in your life through much work and effort. If you are setting a fire to something or even to yourself, then it indicates that you are undergoing some great distress. You are at the brink of desperation and want to destroy something or some aspect of yourself.

Burning
To dream that you or someone is being burned alive suggests that you are being consumed by your own ambition.

anyone ever feel like they are heavily drugged or intoxicated while in sleep paralysis or having night terrors?
>>
>>17529018
I've never experienced SP, but after awaking from night terrors? Yeah, I feel woozy sometimes.
>>
>>17529039
not after night terrors really...it's in your dreams or nightmares. Sometimes incorperated with sleep paralysis. IE: I am having a night terror and walking around and I wake up fully and realize I wasn't drugged just sleep walking. In dream world You feel helpless like you can't even accomplish a simple task of moving your body correctly. You feel ashamed and embarrassed because everyone else is moving at a normal speed but you feel trapped. You feel dumb and want to hide but you can't even walk straight without falling to the ground. Sometimes this feeling just happens in normal dream situations and quickly turns into a nightmare after I have this "drugged" feeling.
>>
I had a lucid dream a few times. I think it was at least. I tried to keep myself between falling asleep and being awake. So the first one, I dreamed of my living room, all was fine and cool, I could look around, 360 view. Except there were Christmas decorations everywhere. Like excessively.
The Second one was trippy. I started out lying in bed, then I turned in to a cloud and "cloud-danced with my Paw Paw, then I went in to a garage and there was a realistic couch and background. Everything was realistic, except there was an orange cartoon ferret on the couch, chillin. That startled me and I woke up.
>>
I had a dream once where I was snorkeling with my father on a shipwreck, and a current took me away from him, and he tried catching up with me and I out currented him. I ended up deeper in the water, like forever away from anything, and just pure blue everywhere. I was deep enough that the surface light barely shone through, but shallow enough that I could still see a pure blue left and right. I felt at home, until I realized I couldn't breathe underwater. I took my snorkel off, and breathed in water. It didn't hurt, it didn't burn. It felt purer than air.

I've been obsessed with wanting to try to breathe underwater ever since.
>>
I kinda had my own personal Freddy Krueger when I was a kid. It was about as tall as anybody's door frame and was enveloped in just pure darkness. Me back then, being lazy kinda kid and while not as imaginative as the other kids, still had nightmares and they all more often than not enveloped around this dark character. When he was up close, either chopping me into pieces or staring at me for a million dream hours with no way out, I could see faint instances of a hood or some fabric dragging along on the floor, but never a face. Will share a few stories involving him to pick the thread back up.

Pic related just take away the stupid yellow eyes and thats him
>>
>>17530040
I've had quite a lot of nightmares over the years. Alot of them I shrug off and forget about the next day. So maybe it was in a few of those too and forgot. Spoooky right? Honestly thought the first dream i had with the shadow guy is something i'm going to remember the rest of my life.

It start's out with me tied up and dangling off the high pull-up bar at my elementary school playground (This was 3rd grade at the time) by my ankles like livestock. The sky is dark yellow and really cloudy. Then I see the shadow guy walking across the teacher parking lot toward the playground that I'm tied up on. It's of course fucking useless to do anything because i'm in a fucking nightmare and good shit never happens in nightmares. I see that it has just a big, bladed weapon. I think it's a scythe because it kinda looks like the grim reaper to begin with. For some reason I'm looking at a 3rd person point of view now next to me and the shadow guy. He raises the weapon and just starts chopping the me that's dangling up in little meaty bits all over the place, head flopped on the ground, foot still dangling off the bar, blood everywhere, then after that I look up and he's looking at me.

And then I wake up.
>>
>>17530074
Alot of instances the shadow guy just hangs out in my nightmares and just looks while my dream self is pre-occupied with other dream stuff.

For example, another dream I had involved me being in a huuuge building. It was like a mix between a library and a museum. Anyway there were bookcases as high and as long as you could see. There must not have been a top to the building because the ceiling goes so high that eventually all you see is darkness. There are also seperate floors but spaced far apart from each other because of how high the bookcases are. Anyway I'm perusing the book selection and I reach what I assume is the center of the building because all that's there is a big t-rex fossil. I study it before it just fucking comes alive and starts chasing me, trying to eat me for the rest of the dream. This is one of those dreams that last a loooong time. One of those dreams where you're in it long enough that you just kinda start to know what's going on. Know that you're in a dream. So in that brief time before I was jolted awake, hiding behind a corner away from the fucking dinosaur fossil, I looked up and I could swear, even though it was dark, could see the second level of the building just lined with shadow guys.

>hear about lucid dreaming
>try to achieve it to a week to no prevail
>finally have a dead week at work and decide to give it another go
>wake up in my bedroom but notice something is off
>cows are loitering in my yard (that's not strange seeing as how I live in farm land and it has happened before)
>feeling strange and lighter than normal
>walk through my wall straight outside
>realize I'm in a dream (telling myself not to get too excited)
>decide to jump
>first leap is over power lines
>second leap is about the distance from my house to the highway (1/2 mile)
>experiment with flying
>build a city by raising buildings through the ground
>flew off the planet and back
>got my dick sucked by multiple women simply by changing her form
>wake up for real excited to go to sleep again
>have a handful of successful attempts (more crazy shit that sounds ridiculous but it was my world so fuck it)
>back to work tomorrow just want to get some good rest and don't use my technique
>wake up in the middle of the night to dogs running on my porch and snarling (nobody close to me has dogs)
>decide it must be coyotes but they don't usually get close to homes
>head to my bedroom door something isn't right
>see toys on shelves that I haven't owned in years and posters I've never seen before
>I have no ability to change anything
>as I grab my door knob I see a light pop on in my living room (I live alone)
>what looks like the shadow of feet steps in front of my door and I'm terrified
>the door starts to shake violently and a red mist fills my room before
>my entire room is shaking now and I can't hold the door so I fall into a corner
>wake up drenched in sweat like I've never been and pinch and scratch myself to make sure this is real
>I sit in the living room with all my lights on for an hour before I feel comfortable in the dark again.

I stopped trying after that but every so often I wake up and something doesn't feel right. Realizing its a dream I wake up if possible.

I had a dream a few nights back that consisted of a string of strange infomercials. The one I remember the most was "Nunchuk Hand Soap" the use of which promised to deliver "black-guy grip-strength"

You probably feel like people are silently judging you all the time. That's usually what that kind of stuff means. The guys are anon, so they just represnt people in general... And the part where you're tied up? You feel constrained by people. Are you really nice to people?
>>
>>17530099
This last dream really fucked me up. It was also the last time I ever really saw the shadow guy. talking about him so fucking much before bed probably isn't the best idea but i wanted to share is all.

Now it fucked me up for a while because, I want to remind you i was a kid, so alot of shit can fuck up kids. It fucked me up because the dream started in my bedroom, in my bed, in the middle of the fucking night with all the lights off and no one but me is fucking home. So there's already the pre-conception of me in my dream brain going "Oh I'm awake, this is actually happening right now" My dream self got thirsty and wanted to go get something to drink from the kitchen. Instead of turning the lights on like a normal human being, I walk to the kitchen, all the way across the house, in the dark, in my underwear. I get to the threshold of the kitchen and freeze solid, there just sitting in one of the dining room chairs was the shadow guy. Just sitting there looking downward. I then thought that I felt a little tickle on my shoulder and his head just fuckin shot up like i kicked his dog. I ran back to my bedroom with my eyes closed and dove back into bed and lifted the covers over my head. The dream ended when eventually I had to pull the covers down. He was standing over me with the scythe again.
>>
>>17530121
Really nice. Joke around alot. Kind of a dick when I think the situation demands it but otherwise I think people see me as a goofy jokester
>>
>>17530129
That's it then. You just feel like you have to uphold a certain air about you all the time. Probably because you're self-conscious about how people feel about you.
>>
>>17530135
Well regardless of how or what i feel. like i said that dude hasn't been in my dreams ever since i was a kid, so whatever psychiatric shit that is so traumatic that i invent my own nightmare creature isnt a problem anymore.
>>
>>17530143
Kids are a lot more susceptible to dreams. Plus, either something good has happened, or you just have more distracting thing going on, than how people make you feel.
>>
>>17530147
I think where I'm at in life, thinking about what others think of me is at the bottom of the barrel in terms of problems. I'm a lot more open now then i was when I was a kid and there's nothing inherently stressful besides everyday shit that people deal with that's not worth complaining about.
>>
>>17530152
But has anything good happened to you recently?
humdrum everyday life wouldn't keep that shit away, something big must have happened to disrupt that kind of thought process. Dreams drudge up things in you subconscious.
>>
>>17530154
It wasn't recent that the shadow guy left, It was back when I was 12 was the last nightmare with him. I guess around that time i was making more friends. Going out of my bedroom more. Not playing as many video games.

As for recent events, I'm engaged, have a safe, steady stream of income from a piece of rental property and plenty of time to do whatever i want.

I had a dream that I've been dieng to share. And need to find an answer to. Before that I want to make clear that I believe when you dream you go into other "worlds". And that your spirit can be summoned else where. For good or bad, etc. I believe I was summoned to an evil place. Sorry for bad narrative, don't do this often.
>wake up in this small room.
>this room looks like some place of worship. Very dim lighting from torches.
>stone walls and floors, with a stone slab in the middle. (like the ones the Mayans would sacrifice people on)
>I'm watching these two men in what seems to be priest attire brown hooded robes.
>they looked as if they were focused on two pedastals facing the walls, one in each corner of the room with a strange book.
>they seem to be performing some sort of ritual.
>I'm standing behind them quietly observing. As I did not want to provoke.
>out of a sudden I see the man on the right slowly turn around and looks at me.
>he grabs both of my shoulders looking at me as if his ritual had worked. Pic related.
>starts to drag me hastilly to the slab in the center of the room. As if time were of the essence.
>I can't move as he drags me.
>right before we get to the slab I start thinking I need to get out of here.
>and I wake up my heart pounding like crazy.
>I believe I dodged some shit.

Everything seems so visual, like they are right in front of me but they're not.

>it's time and i'm ready to push out my first load from my dream cunt

self-objectification and externalized standard of value resulting in you "selling" your reproductive organs; you're a female because you submit to a passive relation of prostitution; you need the drugs which are external predefined norms you must artificially "ingest" in order to be able to overcome you're primal resistance and will for individuality, but this "drug" allows you to go through with the self-objectification anyways. Selling your productive organs for food indicates others will profit materially from your will-broken situation. You even do more than is strictly required due to externalized sense of self-value. you work a day job?

I had a dream last night about triplets. They were blond boys, about 5-6 years old. They were in a big pail in their yard, presumably taking a bath. They were sitting in a row. The middle one was obviously dead. He had dark crimson spots on the lower side of his face. I was under the impression that he died because of a disease, but the word "frostbite" also was present. His head eventually fell forward, and beige liquid sprayed out of both of his eyes. I thought in my dream that it had to do with decomposition, but I've never heard of that happening before. The other boys were fine, until a little later, when the brother on the right had the same red splotches. His head started to tilt, and I started saying "no, no, no" because I knew that he was dead and the same thing was going to happen to him. His head fell to his chest, and I believe liquid only sprayed out of one of his eyes. They were not my children, but I remember feeling sympathy for them.

What does this mean?

analysis is a method that can be applied to any symbolic content, be it a dream or a poem or whatnot. i'm only half serious anyways, i mostly post her for the luls. but seriously, the fact that you masturbate to lactating girls might have something to do with your personal way of projecting frustrated drives.
lets not disregard the luls tho
>>
>>17530574
the children are yourself at the age of 5-6. the triplicity is the ego, the ID and super ego - ego as conscious self-image, ID as primal living power of desire or libido, super-ego as mental rules and regulations of conduct. Being a generation of sheep will-broken by the patriarchy, dreams are the ID's attempt to communicate it's frustrated drives to the ego. So something happened to you at the age of 5-6 (beginning education, probably) that's being symbolically represented as a disease of the lower part of the face, organs of speech and self-expression. Slowly the frustrated and diseased ID poisons the ego, and the trauma is internalized becoming a part of your conscious self-image - perhaps you feel insecure about your speech or powers of communication, perhaps it's more strictly oral in the sense that your natural appetites were denied or moralized. To understand that YOU are NOT wrong, that YOU were ABUSED through EDUCATION is vital - so to undo the internalized auto-aggression and start to see that your potential problems with self-esteem you symbolically connect with a disease of the lower part of the face was IMPLANTED upon you through objectification. To develop integrity and to remain a servant of the patriarchy is an oxymoron, so step one is seeing the abusive structure we are educated in - from here on out we can start analytically understanding how and why one's individual power of desire has been frustrated and demonized

Regarthing Sleep paralysis and how to prevent it.

This might sound stupid but ive done it since i was like 5 years old and i keep dong it because it somehow works.

Every time i go to bed i imagine myself laying there. I procede by puting up like a barier around myself (imagine a slightly transparent ball of golden light or something). Next i imagine making this barrier bigger so it cowers the whole house and while it expands i think about how entities and what evers on my mind gets pushed away.

And thats it. I almost feel ashamed for doing this every night and it might only work because ive been doing it for so long and my brain recognize it somehow, but if you have problems with sleep paralysis why not try it out.
>>
>>17517918
Dude fuck dont remind me, it has happened a few times for me, nothing scary. but the experience i had two days ago almost makes me wanna cry.

>tries to go to sleep
>hear a buzzing sound i always hear during sleep paralyzis
>here we go again, i think to myself but then sound stops
>open my eyes
>blurry human figure slowly passes through my door
>insta close my eyes
>i hear nothing
>maybe it stopped?
>nope, i feal two hands slowly grabbing my upper arm
>suddenly i hear the most terrifying twisted scream ive ever heard as it tighten its grip and starts shaking me like its trying to rip my arm of

After like two sconds of the scariest shit ive ever encountered i managed to wake my body and i could start moving again. I havnt sleept very well after that. The fealing was as real as it gets, could have been a human standing there. Except for the scream...

Wear a watch/wristband on your non-dominant hand and/or write a letter under it so you are reminded every time you adjust it. Make sure to associate this with whatever reality check you do.

Or just rub your thumb and forefinger in bed for a few minutes before going to sleep. I did this for two nights in a row and I was able to LD that night

Here's a dream I had a couple nights ago. Maybe I'm just a pussy, but I'm still a little shaken up from it.

>Be me, at the mall
>Idly walking through, just seeing what I can see
>I notice a big group of kids around this one kiosk
>Go over to investigate
>There's two people, a man and a woman, both dressed all in white
>The man has a relatively large toy racecar, about two feet long. It's all painted dark blue.
>The woman has a toy parrot on a perch. It's also about two foot tall, and is hot pink.
>The two of them are just giving the toys away. They seem to have these toys by the dozens.
>For some reason, I'm fascinated by their altruism
>I walk over to them
>"Hey, that seems like a good job you have! How can I do something like that?"
>They give me a few bags of toys and tell me to "spread the joy around"
>I give the toys out
>Parents ask how they can do it
>I give them bags of toys
>THEY give toys out
>MORE parents ask how they can do it
>They all come to get more toys from me
>Suddenly, it's very dark and very quiet

(Part One)
>>
>>17533525

(Part Two)

>I hear a woman's voice - not the woman at the mall, but still an incredibly familiar voice
>"Did you do enough?" she asks
>I feel incredibly remorseful. "I did too much," I reply.
>"Idiot. You didn't do enough."
>By now, I'm at the odd bridge between dreaming and waking up. I remember feeling a considerable amount of pain in my upper back, like someone's pushing my shoulder's together.
>"Do you regret it?"
>"Of course I do."
>"Idiot. You can't have any regrets. You still have so much to do."
>I apologize profusely to the lady, or to God, or anyone. I remember saying "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry" a lot.
>"Look upon what you've done," she says
>Suddenly, it's a bird's eye view of... something.
>If I weren't in a dream, I wouldn't have known what I was looking at. In the dream, though, it was clear.
>Meat.
>Flesh.
>Bones.
>There's a fifty-foot long stretch of hands, all writhing, like a centipede turned on its back.
>There's an entire sector of jaw and teeth, pulsating in a pool of flesh and blood.
>A collection of eyes loosely bound together.
>Bones and hair sticking out at random throughout the mess
>The whole thing must've been at least a square mile
>Looking at it, I understand what it is
>These are the kids I gave the toys to
>I did this
>They didn't get the toys "for free"
>They gave their lives for them

I woke up after that.

>TERRIFIED
>the paralysis thing only lasted like 10 seconds and I managed to shout "STOP LOOKING AT ME"

Guys I had a weird dream that we all used an anonymous anime image board to discuss weird shit.

>everyone was mean to each other
>people just posted shit and memes not relevant to the discussion
>there was an entire group of people that were neo-nazis
>there was another group of losers that liked the fact that they were losers, in fact they hated normal people and wanted them out

>Things like ''waifu'' and ''best girl'' were discussed daily

I woke up just as I was about to casually call someone the n-word for agreeing with me that strawberry milk was the best one.

Someone told me to post it here so here it goes hope you can help.

Hey /x/, I know this is supposed to be paranormal but I spose you guys would be quite good at mental issues too. I keep seeing this man in quite horrific nightmares I have been having pic related.

I used to have night terrors as a child but they've only just started coming back a few weeks ago. I keep seeing him staring at me coming closer and close until his hands are round my throat and I can't breathe. Its really realistic and afterwards I cannot sleep anymore and have to keep the lights on till morning. Sometimes I swear he is in the room with me whilst I am awake.

Its ruining my life. Could anyone help with some suggestions as to what it might be or what I can do?
>>
>>17533721
No, I mean in the middle of the day when I'm up and about.
I suppose it doesn't belong in this thread, but I'm starting to see it more and more, and I want to know what/who it is.
Also, it has appeared at a total of three(?) walls - just fucking looking at me.
Even though I don't think I've made a face out of it yet, it reminds me of pic related.
The first time I saw it was definitely the worst.

>sitting at kitchen counter
>drop something off the counter
>bend over to pick it up (I'm on a semi-tall chair)
>look at entrance to living room in the process
>black figure looking at me
>don't take eyes off of it
>it SLOWLY slides its head back (there's a staircase right next to the entrance, so there was room for him to move)
>swear I can still see a fucking THUMB still slightly poking out of the side
>OhShitHe'sStillThere.jpg
>grab stuff
>go to bedroom
>have a hard time processing what I just saw
>>
>>17532688
If this had happened to me I would either start believing in the paranormal or think something was broken in my brain.
>>
>>17534790
If its a normal dream I would consider consuming small amounts of alcohol before you sleep. If you don't have the dream for a few weeks I would guess you can stop.
Not sure if its only me though but if I consume like 2 beers before bed i rarely dream.

This was the scariest dream I've had lately.

I was walking along a deserted two lane country road like I was hitch-hiking, approaching an intersection in the distance. The sky was cloudless blue and there weren't any trees in sight. In all directions were green fields that looked like they could have been farms. The only thing worth scrutinizing in the whole scene was a large victorian house that was situated right by the intersection. So I had all my attention fixed on that house. Suddenly, three cars appeared all heading for the intersection at different speeds so they all reached it at different times. Between looking at the house (which made me instinctively uncomfortable) and the cars, I didn't completely register that one of the cars stopped and a man was exiting the vehicle near the house. The other two cars where already out of sight, buy the time he was standing fully erect. His car started driving away when I noticed he was about twice the height of an average man. I immediately felt a sense of deep dread. He turned to face me, but his movements where all wrong. His shoulders where extremely wide and he was wearing a long black coat that made him look more like a wall with feet than a human. He started walking toward me and his body bobbed and convulsed as he approached like one of those effigies at a parade. He was closing the gap far too quickly and I knew I had no hope of escape. I didn't even try to run. As he rushed toward me I saw his face and head looked like papier mache loosely perched on an enormous body. It was nearly on top of me, I saw a set of eyes peering out from the neck hole of the jacket. I got too scared and woke up then.

Pic as related as I could find.

One I had a few days ago (dont remember most of them unfortunately)

>sitting in family living room with my brother and father
>decide to watch a movie together
>brother mentions the movie is "cursed"
>plays it anyway
>movie is a sci-fi about a group of German astronauts landing on a alien planet and slowly turning into aliens themselves.
>while this plays a tall lengthy man is suddenly sitting with us.
>He is tall with very pale skin and is only wearing underwear, there is not a hair on his body and he has slightly red bags under his eyes.
>starts talking to us like a 5 year old and asks us to talk and play with him.
>we literally cannot refuse anything he says, it felt like he had mental powers over us and any response we gave him was in the same 5 year old like manner.
> I look back to the TV and see the astronauts shifting into creatures within their suits.

I had this weird dream last night. I was into this girl (fictional, as in don't recognize her face irl) but she was all cuddly and shit with this other dude, and i went beta comfy and was like whatever.
We were all by the beach, kinda rocky. I was doing some dreamy shit and suddenly someone says that the dude fell into the sea and disappeared.
I went like "everybody fucking lets find the guy" kinda thing and even jumped in the water, cause mainly I didn't want people thinking a did something to the guy cause I fancied her.
As I'm coming out of the water (I think he was saved, not sure) I hear this song. Don't know which band it was, it was pop rock kinda easy listening. I went like fuck, this is really cool and asked someone what it was. He/ she told me but I couldn't understand what he/ she was saying, so I looked for the source of the sound.
Eventually I found a tape player nested in some rocks by the shore, getting wet by the waves rolling in.
I opened the deck, and pulled a tape one of those blank tapes with a tag that said, caps but hand-written:

"STAND & STONE"

Woke up. Shadowself is the cesspool of the I. I don't even bother looking for explanations for my dreams anymore.

so the rivaling male figure frustrates your erotic desire towards this woman, thus the dream environment "as if by itself" destroys the rival. genital phase traumata (especially in males but idk rly) comes mostly from frustrated erotic impulse of ID, the libido, direceted towards the mother but frustrated and intercepted by the father, thus implanting the trauma of male insufficieny in the child at the age when he starts to realize, that HE, the baby, is not the perfect lover or source of ecstasy for the mother but there is irreconcilably someone bigger, more powerful, more potent and more capable of loving the mother. if left unresolved, this will make men yield to the Great Father without question, it'll seem "the right thing to do", a conditioned slave of the patriarchy. But the point; you hate your father and secretly want to kill him. the tape tells you to stand and stone - incarnate the erect and stone-hard father of rock hard cock can-do-attitutude and beta comfy no more

every night before you go to sleep visualize the events (just visualize) of the entire day from when you woke up until you laid down in bed, starting from present moment and going backwards in time, so you finish with visualizing yourself waking up. it's really quite difficult to keep focus for the whole exercise at first, but it doesn't take very long to do and will yield very nice things quickly in respect to remembering and having vivid dreams

Had my first semi-lucid and sleep paralysis experiences the other day. I believe there were two layers of dreams in it. What made me realize I was in a dream was the fact that I was walking down a road I know is a highway I often take in real life. Shortly after I woke and realized I couldn't move. I knew what was happening and since many people say they've seen "shadow people" I kept my eyes closed in fear. There was a high pitched noise in my ear, hurt quite a lot. Lasted a couple of minutes in this state.

Not my dream but my girlfriend has had this recurring dream since she was very young of a man standing in her room…either in the corner, leaning over her bed from the bottom, peering out of her walk in wardrobe or on the other side of her bed from her…last night she woke up quite late at night beside me and apparently punched me in the back to wake me up because the same man was doing something to my neck. I woke up and she was sat up straight (this has happened before so I didn't freak out), I grabbed her and spooned her and we went back to sleep. In the morning she told me about it and told me when she was younger the man used to have a voice as well but as she got older it went away.
Her description of him was;
>around 6ft 3"
>completely black/no colour
>described him as white even though she couldn't see his skin colour
>quite skinny
>wore a long black coat possibly
But that's all I could get out of her before she closed up…I've told her to go see someone about it because it's genuinely terrifying me now…she said that the man had never came in contact with her either, like never touched her at all. So the fact that he was presumably trying to strangle me or something last night is pretty worrying…anyway, was hoping someone could give me some advice!

I've never astral projected, but I did used to listen to a 10(?) hour lucid dreaming "soundtrack" that caused me to feel REALLY drowsy later the next day.
My guess is that stuff like that just drains your mentality (and sometimes maybe even your physicality or spirituality) and makes you weaker in the waking world. Just try sleeping a couple extra hours to restore your mental strength.

Try to find the origin of the house where the occurrence first started happening and find out more about the origin of her family and the origin of YOUR family.
>>
>>17541793
She had this to say;

"well, the house was number 23 on the same street i'm on now and it has no history that i know of.. i mean, it was a council house like.. nothing exciting.. and my family doesn't have a long history considering my great granny was adopted and to my knowledge nothing paranormal has happened to anyone.. they've all lived long lives!"

As far as the origin of MY family is concerned, why would that make a difference to this? Surely it was something to do with her since it's been happening to her all her life? I've had no recurring dreams or any severe nightmares ever really!
>>
>>17542149
I'm checking for the origin of your family for a connection to the origin of the house or her family.

Petty rivalries from centuries's past could still be going on in the spirit realm between your family and her's, possibly based on an old grudge one of her ancestors held against yours or vice versa. The strangling is the part I'm most curious about, because it could lead you to the conclusion of some type of connection if anything.
>>
>>17542216
Yeah that's a good point actually. I know half of my family are from mainland England, whereas the other half are Scottish/Northern Irish. As far as I know, we only came to settle in Northern Ireland about 2 generations ago as well!

As for her, I don't think she knows fully about her full ancestry!

As a closing thought, I appreciate the quick replies mate.
>>
>>17542238
What can I say? I try to help fellow /x/philes out if I think they're telling the truth.

I would suggest getting your hands on two necklaces and/or bracelets with crosses on them for protection. If it continues to get closer to her, seek help. Ask a priest to cast it out.

Whatever you do, DON'T. MOVE. OUT.
Not only is it (likely) a waste of money, but it also provides little to no protection. Spirits don't care if you're an China or the Bahamas - they can, and will, follow you if they want to.

Here's a reoccurring dream I used to have when I was younger.

>pier in the middle of nowhere, nothing on land
>at the end is a swirling vortex leading into a void
>a garbled voice fills the air, emanating from the void
>sounds similar to the voice of Dormin from Shadow of the Colossus, when he tells you to kill your next enemy
>I am on the pier
>I try to run
>an enormous hand reaches out from the vortex and grabs my feet
>the voice gets louder and it pulls me toward the end of the pier
>when I am hanging off the last plank, it lets go
>I get up and run away
>as I near the opposite end, leading into nothing, the hand reaches out again and pulls me toward the vortex
>repeat

I had this dream on and off for years.

The bracelets/necklaces with crosses...that sounds like some dumb religious thing...we'll give it a go though. Do we need to wear them while we sleep at all?

Also, we WILL be moving house in July/August time so that could be annoying...the nightmare has happened everywhere she has lived. She has moved a lot and it's always happened!
>>
>>17542424
Depending on your religion, it might be a "dumb religious thing."
There are alternatives to crosses (which, yes, you probably would have to wear at night).
One such example is salt. Another is incense made to ward off spirits.
I'm not necessarily saying moving is a bad thing, I'm just saying it's very unlikely to solve the problem.
>>
>>17542479
Well we're both not religious in the slightest...although we are both protestant, we are not practicing christians at all! Just trying to find some sort of explanation as to why this is happening to her...it's been going on for about 15ish years and she seems to think it's nothing. I on the other hand, am not so sure about that.
>>
>>17542492
Your concern is not without validity. If you feel safer with salt than with a cross, try leaving a long tray of salt at the door to the bedroom. Maybe you should also consider getting a couple of necklaces with small flasks and filling them with salty water. If the spirit comes close to either one of you, flick the water straight at them, preferably aiming for the face or chest.

I can't think of much more, so here's one last(?) tip.

Don't be a fucking idiot. If there's a ritual you find on the internet that seems like it might help, consult a paranormal professional before trying to do it yourself without any real evidence or insight that it works. Better yet, get a priest or a paranormal professional to perform a ritual they know works.
>>
>>17542590
See, it only happens to HER. I've never seen it or witnessed it! And it ONLY happens when she's sleeping in her dreams. She said only once she saw it when she was awake but that was in that half sleeping/half awake stage where you aren't fully aware of what's happening haha that's why I'm not sure if it IS anything serious yet! I will definitely try the salt thing next time she stays over at mine though, cheers!
>>
>>17542602
If it's been with her for 15 years like she claims, it probably is something more than a figment of her imagination. Cheers and good luck to you, Anon.

I keep dreaming this thing almost every single night. I find myself in a group with several people and learn that this is an invitation for the initiation for a secret society who possess incredible amounts of secret information and the ability to read in between every single line in the world. So I take part in the initation. The first part was go to a house alone, and stay for two hours. Scary stuff happened but I was never in any real danger. The next test was to find a woman and persuade her to give you her secret info. And one of the last test was to make a quiz. Which I struggled with. But then they turned the TV on and I noticed they were speaking in code and giving the answers for the test (I had psychosis at one point in my life and saw secret messages on tv and this was very similar) And right before the last test I woke up.

This isn't really weird. But the weird thing is I dream about secret societies 5 out of 7 days. Does anyone have a clue what this means?

>I head back towards the bedroom, and notice that I am accompanied by this ghastly, lanky creature that is crawling along the ceiling above me
>Once I get to the bedroom door, the creature points inside
>Someone is sitting on my office chair, back turned to me
>I grab the chair to spin it around

anyone here ever seen scout?
i think i saw one yesterday in my dream, didn't think it was scout tho only after i woke up i understood it
it was a very bizzare scorpion of rad and blackish colors and as i tried to catch it it jumped up and down and changed sizes, i didn't catch it so i lost it from my attention.
that little guy falls in every criteria for scout i think. what is your opinions?

I have been reading lots about lucid dreaming recently after having a handful over the years without really getting the full benefit out of them. The most incredible one i had was after completing a reality check outside a bar (i stare at my fingers. They become different sizes etc when im dreaming). I started to walk around interacting with these dream characters like an all knowing being, informing them they where creations of my mind and performing tricks such as producing fire etc. They never really seemed all that interested though. More annoyed if anything

it is an inorganic being, usualy in dreams it appears as small object or living being, it is imobile and once you notice it and pay attention to it, it changes shape or color and usualy jumps or runs to lure you than if you voice a command to let him take it it drags you in further and further, it can take you to amazing places but if you dont be attentive you may never return

there is things i can't explain, and there is things i just saw, there are places you feel so good you don't want to be back and once you voice that you want to stay you cant get out and you don't want to get out your perception ends as human being and your awareness changes to something almost immortal, that places resemble "paradise" but only you become slave

As a schizo. The voices people hear are usually relaties to underlying trauma that one tries to ignore. And the more they ignore it the more it will surface. It isn't like a dream where what you expect will happen. Instead it's the things you try to push away will surface. So sort of the other way around. And besides medication, finding out those traumas and learning to be at peace with them work best. This surfacing of underlying trauma also happens in dreams. So I applaud the fact that this guy think both are somewhat related. And I think they are.

It shouldn't be a permanent thing, just maybe sleep for an hour or two longer than you usually do for about half a week.
Try not to do that kind of stuff more than your body can handle. The last thing you probably need is a clouded mind in the middle of the day. Then again, this is 4chan, so we're all probably like that already.

Had a dream/sleep paralysis a few weeks ago.It went like this:

>sleeping in the afternoon, about 1pm
>suddenly my eyes opened
>room is covered by a white light
>i start sinking intro fire
>look to my right, a black gate is rising
>can't move, can't even say anything
>somehow mutter "god, bless my soul!" out of a tiny space between my lips
>i regain control, get up scared as heck then go outside and sit down

It's really bothering me.

I was sleeping. Believing in astral projection... Tell myself it's real and being to imagine all the places I would as I drift off into the ocean of dreams. Be outside of my body, go through the ceiling, and float up into the night sky. Beyond the atmosphere now and I continue to drift further and further backwards into total blackness. The void felt like eyes spying on me, laughing at my misfortune. Start to panic. Horey shit what if I never Return? Earth becomes smaller and smaller, it's like a giant blue marble suspended in shadows. I calm myself down, tell myself it's just a dream, it's just a dream and still it shrinks until it's completely gone from sight. As I'm floating through an eternal blackness, I can't tell if my eyes are closed or surrounded by total darkness. Feel drowsy and wake up bright and early, feel super refreshed.

I didn't see an explanation for red birds, but here.

Yellow Bird
To see a yellow bird in your dream represents a positive outlook in your professional life.

Gates of Hell, maybe? The way you described it makes it seem like you have and hold faith in God, that he'll come to you when you truly need him. That's just my personal interpretation anyway.
Now for the almighty dream dictionary.
Gate
To see or pass through a gate in your dream suggests that you are walking through a new phase of life. It also represents new opportunities and possibilities, especially if the gate is opened or swinging.
To see a closed gate in your dream signifies your inability to overcome current difficulties.
Light
To see light in your dream represents illumination, clarity, guidance, plain understanding, and insight. Light is being shed on a once cloudy situation or problem. You have found the truth to a situation or an answer to a problem. Also consider the color of the light for additional significance. Dreaming of a bright light coming from an object often signifies divinity and/or a higher consciousness. Consider the significance of the object and its role in your spirituality or spiritual journey.
If the light is particularly bright, then it indicates that you need to move toward a higher level of awareness and feeling. Bright light dreams are sometimes common for those who are near death.
Fire
Depending on the context of your dream, to see fire in your dream can symbolize destruction, passion, desire, illumination, purification, transformation, enlightenment, or anger.
To dream that you are being burned by fire indicates that your temper is getting out of control. Some issue or situation is burning you up inside.
Mute
To dream that you or someone is mute indicates that you are afraid to say something for fear of being criticized or judged. There may also be a situation in your waking life that has left you speechless.
Beg
To dream that you are begging for something represents your unhappiness and dissatisfaction with your current waking situation. You are afraid to accept help or do not want to admit that you need help.

>>
>>17547544
God
To dream that you are worshiping God signifies repentance of your actions and errors.

Praying
To dream that you are praying signifies respect, sincerity and humility. You are looking for help from a higher source. You need to relinquish your worries and let go of your old problems.

I know this isn't really spooky paranormal like you guys are into but i don't know who to talk to about this. I'm getting a little spooked out by whats happening. So anyway i hardly ever dream and remember it due to chronic substance abuse, my dreaming is pretty non existent. Which is why i am little spooked out. These past 3 days i have had the most vivid dreams about this girl, i wake up remembering a huge portion of the dream and it all feels so real, always us coming together and just being happy. Context, i knew this girl who i felt i had a strong connection with, i never told her how i truly felt and we simply parted ways without saying goodbye. Two years later, i have a girlfriend and all seems fine, i haven't thought about the girl from before for a while. Now 3 nights in a row i have had the most livid dreams about this girl, all are happy with so much emotional love it feels real. What is bugging me apart from the recurring dreams is that i wake up next to my gf and feel genuinely sad. This has happened 3 nights in a row and im really hoping someone can help me make this go away? All i can think about are these dreams and i think my gf is starting to notice my change in mood.

This isn't as much of a dream as it is a constant part in a variety of areas within my life, waking and dreaming.

Ever since I was young, I've been followed by cats. It all started when I was walking home from school one day when I was in fifth grade. I saw a black cat and I named him Shadow. I walked home with this cat, but when I looked behind me when I reached home: he was gone.

I shrugged it off and carried on as normal through junior and highschool, sometimes seeing cats out of the corner of my eyes and overlooking it as wishful thinking. Around my 19th birthday, the cats were more frequent and they even appeared in front of me like Shadow had.

It was during this time that I started feeling a deep connection with music, and I felt as if someone--or some thing, was trying to talk to me.

Fast forward to the past few days: I'm 21. It just happened to occur to me that Shadow is trying to talk to me and it seems like, from the hints I'm getting, that he wants to talk to me in a dream.

What do I do? Do I avoid him or should I trust him?

>Has anyone ever been to a place in a dream where in the dream you recognized and felt you had been there before, but it was some place you've never seen or been to

yes, there are several places I use to "visit", like a really huge church, a cellar, a tall building in a barren land and so on. they feel rather familiar, although I don't know if is caused by the repetition.

>>17519167
> Standing in the corner of the room
reminds me of rumanian folklore, where dead people stand in the corner, watching you and draining you vitality. they are called moroi; they are usually stillborn or aborted infants, or children who died before being christened. the don't necessarily look like children, though…

>>17517918
>Have any of you experienced ghostly sensations, or touches before or after you sleep?

yes, one a cold hand on my should (followed by goosebumps, of course). mostly someone is lying next to (behind or under me… I use to sleep in recovery position).

Hey a dream thread, just what I was hoping to find on /x/.

You see, not this night but the one before I had a terribly strange dream and as I usually only remember a few dreams per year, remembering this one made me curious.

I dreamt that I was bound to a chair in an art classroom. There were many students all around me but no adults other than I.

They were all making statues out of what looked like pristine white plaster, and they were doing so by shaving off of them with good old razors. Not only were the sculptures pristine white, they were also of great quality in terms of details and cleanliness.

Until now, it's all still kind of fine but here comes the strangest(from my point of view that is) part of the dream.

The children start cutting into their sculptures with their razors, one cutting across the stomatch in stripes and one cutting the heads of two statues, and blood slowly flow from these cuts.

The statue that was cut across the stomach is the one I remember the most for some reason.

The statues which had their heads cut were not quite just cut across, they had their heads turned to a pulp by a net of razorwire and then their heads were fused together, still bleeding.

That's when I somewhat woke up and actively tried to dream of something else.

For what I could gather from my friend's dictionnary of dreams, it may have to do with my mind telling me to lose weight, or that something stresses me out and gives me stomach aches.

I'd like the opinion of other people if possible, thank you in advance if you do help, and thank you also for taking your time to read.

>>
>>17547774
>how did they get that?
How did I get that? It just seems like the kind of thing that would happen before something tragic involving one or both of you.
Then again, it could just be that you unconsciously long for her presence again, and you should try to find her again.
But what do I know? I'm no psychologist.

He was very friendly and told me he wanted to go somewhere a bit different than my dream. He said goodbye and flew off on his bike.

Used to have this reoccurring dream. Haven't had it in a while. The unusual thing about this dream was that it was in 1st person, and usually in dreams I'm just a sort of onlooker, like I'm watching it on TV. Anyway,

>standing in front of a massive old skyscraper
>some kind of old office building
>looks like it survived a nuke
>Everything around me old and crumbling
>For whatever reason I need to climb that tower
>It doesn't feel safe on the ground
>Start climbing
>halfway up
>look out of one of the shattered windows
>world around is lifeless
>continue climbing
>its snowing now
>finally at the top
>the wind starts getting strong
>pushes me over the edge
>grab on to a piece of rebar sticking out a few floors down
>start pulling myself up
>see there's a person there
>so startled I slip
>start falling

had a rather odd dream this morning.
I was in some sort of aquarium and they had stores with those rooms you could try clothes on. Strangely, they were gender seperated which isnt common where i live. Then i walked into one of the women's room even though i was a guy. However, when i looked into the mirror i saw a girl. It was a weird, but nothing major. When i walked out, a man who i didnt know, but felt like someone i knew started chatting me up. It was then that i realized i was crossdressing. I started getting flustered and worried that he would find out who i really was instead of a stranger so i ran off. The dream ended there.

I just had one. I went to my sister's job to pick her up late at night, but for some reason the building was 10x bigger than normal, all ready feeling uneasy we walk to the back to get her stuff and out of nowhere we're in our parents bedroom and her best friend is there and my dog. We're sitting on the bed just talking about ghosts and stuff and then we keep turning the light off and taking pictures in the dark trying to find one. No luck so we give up and decide to leave and my dog starts biting my foot. Tell him to knock it off and we leave. Get weird feeling so I turn light off and leave room but don't shut door fully, really fast I open the door and turn light on and run in. Nothing, do this 3 times and on the third time the light doesn't fully turn off and the switch disappears so I run in and in their walk in closet is a huge figure with it's back to me and when it starts to turn around I wake up

How would I go about inducing nightmares? I enjoy them, as they usually pertain to things relevant to my current situation and give helpful insight as to how I should handle issues.
>>
>>17554833
Well...
for one, I wouldn't suggest doing that. Nightmares could lead to night terrors, which could lead to stirring in the middle of the night, which could lead to lack of sleep, which leads to midday drowsiness.
But if you're serious about it, just watch a shitload of nightmare fuel, read spoopy stories, and listen to songs like this; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nuc9N7KRX-0
Also, try to avoid falling asleep due to exhaustion. I don't know about you, but exhaustion usually leaves me with a dreamless sleep, if not very cloudy dreams.

I have the opposite problem as this guy >>17554833

I used to not dream at all as a child and that really bothered me, so I started to force myself to have dreams with melatonin, excessive amounts of sleep, reducing the stress in my life, and abstaining from smoking and drinking. Now that I'm having dreams for once in my life, they're all violent and bleak. I wouldn't call them nightmares (maybe because I'm just used to them), but every single dream I have involves me being attacked, killed, forced into a situation where I have to fight or run from something, etc. I wouldn't mind if they provided some kind of insight or wisdom, but I get absolutely nothing out of these violent dreams.

How do I into nice dreams? I try to actively think positive thoughts throughout the day and especially while I'm getting ready to sleep, but that doesn't seem to help. I know I mostly have a negative mindset, but I'm trying my best to fix it. I think having positive dreams will help, but it seems like I need to already have a positive mindset to have positive dreams. Catch 22, I guess.

>>17555137
Some people actually do need therapy.

Maybe it's you forcing it, though.

>>17555170
What do I need therapy for?

Why would forcing dreams make them negative? Wouldn't I go into the same dream state no matter how it was induced?

Had a fucking blinder of a dream the other night

>go to weird, decrepit looking care home for kids
>everyone from my old job is there
>everyone very friendly
>go into room, close door behind me
>suddenly everything flips
>feeling of intense terror
>begin to vainly attempt to pack all of my stuff that's on the floor into my bag
>feeling of terror still there
>creepy ass lady turns up
>for some reason she is the embodiment of the terror
>fat, ginger lady with creepy ass smile
>trying to get away from her
>she puts weird ass chicken/worm hybrid on the floor and it crawls away
>still trying to pack all my shit and gtfo the window or something
>door closed behind me
>knock on door
>it's her
>start screaming but in weird sleep paralysis way so just half strangled scream
>wake up in dream
>walk out of my room and go discuss my dream with my mum in my dream

Weird af, the feeling of a terrifying, but unseen entity trapped in a room with me is a common one for me.

Any explanation for who the lady might be or what she means? I only ever see people I know in dreams so it's kinda weird that she's there as she's a totally fresh face. Could she be some form of dreamworld spirit or something?

My repeated dreams include fireworks, theme parks, and floating, seizuring dolls or toys that come to life only to try to kill me.
>also so do the rides in the theme parks
>and the fireworks

Why does everything turn against me all the time? It usually turns sinister when I recognize or observe it.

I'm almost always trying to save dying animals, large groups of snakes, kittens, dogs I've never owned, the snakes often end up eating eachother despite my attempt to get them to safety in one piece. I've been hit in the face by a fireworks falling while trying to save them and felt it burn. I'm very squeamish so I wake up feeling sick despite living in a stress free environment.

These are positives in my life, I love fireworks and theme parks, does anxiety turn them to nightmares or something?
