Celty is above 20 for sure and so is that blonde chick from the new seasons. Honestly I kind of forgot about that since I don't really care much for the kid characters. But I guess I should have emphasized that.
So just to be clear, shows that are somewhat exceptions:
Wolf Children - main character is a mother, but her children are also part of the cast
Birdy - adult female characters shares a body with a teenage boy
Jormungand - The two main characters are the adult female and a child soldier
xxxHolic - main teenage boy character works for an adult woman
