Hey /wsr/ I went to update my computer today and for some reason it froze at 28 of 30 and when I click stop installation the option just Gray's out any help would be appreciated also I'm using Windows 8.1 I don't know if that matters or not
I'm a little desperate for a way to fix this(or just stop the update) because a storm might be rolling in soon

How long has it been on that update? I would just reboot. I'm pretty sure Windows updates in such a way that if it cuts off it has a way of rolling back updates. If you bust your os it's just reallly bad luck.

Let this run for about 5 minutes. If it's still freezes power it off, and when you power on keep hitting F8. That brings Windows to the boot settings thing and you can choose to run with "last known good configuration". If that doesn't work try Safe mode.
