I'm typing this on my phone currently cause I'm stupid, I was about to install a gtx 560 ti in my dell Inspiron 3847. But then I considered searching up the wattage on the Inspiron 3847, which I found to be approx. 300w, I then checked the recommended wattage for a gtx 560 ti, which I found to be approx. 500w, what do I do? And hypothetically if I ran this how bad on a scale from knocking over a candle to Septa derailment would it kill my mediocre pc.

It'll work fine until you play a game, at which point it'll crash or switch off.

Your PC appears to take a standard ATX PSU, so go buy one.
