I am looking for some help with a sound problem from my laptop.

I am looking for some help with a sound problem from my laptop.

Images are sometimes not shown due to bandwidth/network limitations. Refreshing the page usually helps.

I am looking for some help with a sound problem from my laptop. The sound usually plays fine but if I leave the computer alone without using the mouse or keyboard the screen dims and turns off as I have set, but then the sound starts crackling and messing up. This happens with both seakers and headphones and device manager says my drivers are updated.
What's the cause and how do I fix it?

Strange never heard anything like that.
Perhaps a simple refresh or re-installation of windows would help the problem.

Or you could re-install drivers by finding the manufacture's website (ex. Realtek or conexant) sometimes they even have updated drivers there that windows update doesn't retrieve, check the sound settings in control panel. send your laptop in if you still have warranty.
