Check if your sound chipset comes with a driver that lets you configure bass/treble levels through a custom volume mixer. I have no Win10 experience, but running "mmsys.cpl" may still get you directly to the Sounds control applet where you can configure devices. Alternatively, try plugging in headphones while playback is going on -- this may pop up additional configuration.

I updated my drivers, win 10 has installed 32 bit drivers which are incompatible so a 64 bit version. Microsoft sucks.
