i'm trying to watch files from a flash drive on dishnnetwork dvr. it's supposed to formatted to fat32. i allowed dish to reformat but when i plug the flash drive into my notebook it says the flashdrive needs to be reformatted - so i reformatted to fat32. when i plug the flashdrive into the dvr it says it needs to be formatted. any ideas?

it won't really work like that, it has a usb option to expand the storage of the device, but it uses an encrypted proprietary format to prevent piracy. there might be some way to hack around that but you can probably find a $20 dvd player that'll just do it.
