I have a Canon Pixma iP3000, pic related, and it won't show up on the list anymore.

I have used it with Windows 10 before, so I know it can work, because it did. I have redownloaded the drivers and tried various things, but nothing works.

I don't know what else to do and I don't want to buy a new printer.

try pulling out and reseating the usb cable at the printer end.

It's hardwired. I tried various USB ports at the other end but it won't work.

Thanks dude. I THOUGHT it was hardwired, but when I checked, I realised... IT WASN'T PLUGGED.
