my computer wont boot up after shipping it across country with bad packaging (my fault)
i checked the drives with an external dock and they all work
power supply turns on and all fans (4 casefans, cpu, and gpu) are spinning
there's nothing coming up on monitor
kb/mouse status lights don't turn on
the hdd access light blinks but nothing happens if i wait or mash F2
motherboard problem? if the power supply and hard drives and your other shit work it's gotta be the motherboard right

thats what i thought originally but i wanted to get a second opinion before i order a replacement
1. Reseat the CPU and RAM. If it doesn't work proceed to step 2.
2. Take the battery off of the motherboard and try turning it on. If it doesn't work, proceed to step 3.
3. Take everything out of the case, place on a flat surface, turn it on.

skipped step 1 and tried step 2 already
tried swapping gfx card and still no response on monitor
would step 3 help even if mouse/keyboard aren't turning on? (numlock doesn't work; optical sensor stays unlit)

Step 3 is to check if the case is shorting the mobo. If it is shorting, fans will spin but nothing else works. Also, why did you skip step 1?

i dont wanna repaste the cpu fan thingy (also i dont have any thermal paste right now)

Reseat the RAM then
