My phone has only 32gb so I canĀ“t really put my flac files what format should I use (since mp3 is apparently deprecated), ogg?
Take in mind that I absolutely despise mp3 V0 and joint stereo.
Your three main choices for lossy audio are MP3, Vorbis, and AAC. All of them work basically the same way, including using joint stereo. But you're just playing these off your phone anyway, so it shouldn't matter that much. Pick your poison, encode at max bitrate, and deal with it.

AAC.
When a phone plays audio in hardware, it copies the audio stream into a buffer, then turns on dedicated audio playing hardware and turns off the main CPU entirely.
It's nearly a hundred times more efficient to play a supported format than an unsupported one, and that's played out in battery life.
Good: MP3, AAC, ALAC*
Bad: absolutely anything else
* iPhone is the only phone that can decode lossless in hardware.

This is not true. Vorbis will rape your battery.

Ah, yeah, I don't know shit about phone hardware, so I hadn't even considered that.
