Requesting recommendations for a mic/headset, I have been putting off getting a new one because I have no idea what is any decent.

A simple Logitech headset can get you through most things. I got one from Target a few years ago for like 25 bucks and it's been working fine for me

I've tested the mic against my polks and the tiny piece of shit rinky dink mic on the cord is better, and I've had the same earbuds for two and a half fucking years now and they still sound the same.

I have these and they're not so great. After 2 months of using them the microphone started doing wahwahwahwah beats.
