The new vampire hunter D is pretty great
There havent been very many good many good punchy animes of late. Some may say Claymore, but i hated it.

Because it's got some of the best sound design I've heard, it's a pretty good action show that has some really impressive scenes animation wise, not only that the OVA Tsuki ni Naku has one of the better fight setups I've seen in the 00s onward, as long as you ignore the original 2008 Yozakura Quartet anime, there's nothing wrong with either the remake, or the two OVAs.
