Disassembled my laptop, replaced thermal paste. Put it back together, now it's not turning on. What could it be?

well i think i connected everything correctly. Could it be damaged mainboard? Or damaged HDD?
did you put the fan on right?/ did you remove the chip? if removed chip make sure you put it back in right line those arrows up

any did you take off all previous paste befor adding new? has to be something with heatsink.just check if your not sure then well there is a video about the changing paste somewhere on thebtube watch itbmake sure you did same. maybe you will find your error.

How would thermal paste application affect boot up of laptop? You think it instantly overheats and shuts down?
if old paste blocks new yeah could happen. thats why your supposed to clean it all off first. hopefully not the problem fir you

some of the connections are almost microscopic. a strip of ribbon cable the size of a pin, half out of a socket somewhere will do it. check the keyboard connection, video cable, etc
