also, different troops would receive different training so it's a little inaccurate to say "Germans used fire and maneuver tactics" because at this point everyone did. But as it is with all training, there's the diminishing returns of training over long periods, so general infantry might not really get the practice with it you'd need to use it to great effect in a true combat situation. moreover, if the enemy strength and position doesn't lend itself it fire and maneuver tactics, it might make more sense to advance behind armored vehicles. say, a flat open field against small arms fire (which was what we saw in the video, not to defend it but in that situation, 'maneuvering' out from behind the truck would be a dumb choice)
moreover, it was clearly a fucking reenactment. if they're anything like the dumb shit they do in the american south, everyone was drunk on schnapps and just excited to play soldier
