videogame webms
that last guy ran all the way from the tower
noone likes hollywood games
>>1144606
4chan liked Alien Isolation though
>games
>interactive movies
>>1144418
Are those MAGA hats?
>>1144627
Why do people say this? You can see the webms for yourself, how are they less of a game than any other typical third person shooter? Or is it because you're from /v/ and it's a meme to not like the Uncharted games over there?
>>1144622
Probably because it's not an exclusive, guaranteed if that game was a PS4 only game it would get the same comments.
>>1144627
it's funny, before all that David Cage shit became popular I would use the term "interactive movie" in a positive manner
>>1144871
The Lara Croft games and earlier Uncharted games were all an attempt to just become interactive indiana jones anyways.
Like ok so what if it is just an interactive movie, it's a good interactive movie.
>>1144878
What matters is the level of interactivity. It can't just be QTEs and camera control.
>>1144896
>It's not a game unless I say so
It doesn't matter what you think classes as a game or not, the definition of a video game is 'a game played by electronically manipulating images produced by a computer program on a monitor or other display.
Even a game that's just QTEs and camera control is still a video game by definition.
never played uncharted but it looks really shite
>>1144830
Except the webm you posted is a perfect example of what he's saying.
>>1144909
VR's pretty shitty
why not just have regular fucking controls with the headset
>>1144921
>It's not a game unless I say so
>>1144938
There are plenty of VR games that offer just that, this is just one that offers something for those people that want something else. God forbid people want to play a VR game that actually feels like VR.
>>1144946
>a VR game that actually feels like VR
>is standing still while the character moves
Oh yeah, totally delivers that "VR" feeling.
>>1144909
Dunno why they call it "VR". It's just monitors shrunk down and put in a glorified headset and calibrated with a gun-shaped controller. I always thought Virtual Reality is like what you see in movies/games: You're in a room and a buncha sciency stuff manipulates your entire environment to make it feel like you're in a whole different area. You can even interact with everything in the environment not just point and shoot a gun and make bullet holes. That's what I think true "VR" is. Until then, the stuff that's coming out will NEVER be VR in my book. But that's just like, my opinion, man.
>>1144966
What?
>>1144970
The problem there is your idea of virtual reality is about 20+ years away.
The concept of virtual reality is just the ability to make you feel like you're in another environment than you are, so the headsets are virtual reality whether you agree with it or not, besides have you even tried it yet? Seems strange to offer an opinion on something if you haven't.
>>1144978
That's true. I'll go give it a try until that ideal concept of mine comes along.
>>1144507
>"Not a problem"
I love when Nate says shit like that as you murder like 4 dudes at once.
My favorite is "How's that taste?" when you headshot an enemy who had hurt you just before he would have killed you. He said it in Uncharted 2 as well
>>1144675
kek that's what I thought at first
The dream pulse bomb
>>1144970
What you see on the tv is not what you see in the googles. Try any kind of vr before you spurt out such bullshit.
>>1144622
Immersive horror = good
Immersive average third person shooter = bad
>>1145542
Subjective of course
>>1144985
Do try it as soon as you get the chance. It will probably chane your mind, you really do forget about everything outside the game when you have the headset on. I mean i tried it in a loud ass tech show with music blasting and it still felt real.

Probably not missing something, it says alpha footage but knowing the devs this may as well be the final code.

>>1145794
wondering how i can get more within the time span i have. probably lower the resolution or something.
>>1145961
resolution actually doesn't matter all that much for filesize, what you need to do is change the bitrate:
https://cuckchan.org/wsg/search/text/32768/
you should bring down the resolution if your webm is too blocky and ugly, of course. 360p or 450p is fine for /wsg/
>>1145978
i got the bit rate at 8000, im not sure what the lowest i can go while still looking good.
>>1145981
well the OP webm for example is only 970 kbps video / 48 kbps audio. You dont nearly need 8000 kbps video for 720p. I'd say ~1400 kbps is good enough for 720p, requiring more or less depending on the amount of movement and the frames-per-second of the webm

That AI is pretty impressive, how those three guys snuck up on you. And when your ally says "they're on your left" he totally saved your life. They seem to be genuinely very helpful in the fight. Looks like a massive improvement from the AI in TLOU.
Fighting doesn't look too hard, but the enemy seems competent in keeping the pressure on so you don't have time to regen.
And here is a webm of the game with the GOAT single player AI: F.E.A.R.
Notice the soldier in the window at the very beginning
Here is a few of my home made webms. No bully. Used a GUI tool to make them so still a beginner.

Last one worth posting. I have quite a few but they're too big to post and if I compress them anymore, they'll be nothing but blur and pixelation.

Fable anniversary is an HD remaster of Fable/The Lost Chapters. It does have some new things here and there, like being able to get into the Bowerstone Manor even when you choose to expose lady grey, but they are mostly cosmetic DLC that adds a bunch of legendary weapons to almost every town's store as well as outfits. I played the shit out of Fable on xbox but not TLC, so I am unsure as how much stuff was added on the Anniversary version of the game. It also has a bunch of emotes, but I'm not sure if they are part of DLC since I bought a bundle during the last winter sale that included everything.
Anniversary version has one flaw in having an improved proper save system which means you can't exploit it anymore as it lacks "Hero save"

Jesus Christ how horrifying, and yet at the same time hilarious.
>>1147908
I'm pretty sure it is a special version of "The Twelve Towers" that only plays during that fight, and is not featured on the OST. Here's the normal version though

The heads on the wall and in the chests are rewarded to you when killing another playable character, so this kid has been playing for a very long time, and in doing so, has killed many people on the server who were probably being casuals. I think he joined a voice channel with the admin unknowingly and challenged him to fight for a free head, maybe admin was undercover, who knows.

>>1145886
Recoil is slower than a speeding bullet.
The G11 was based entirely on the fact if your gun cycled fast enough you could get 3 bullets down range before the recoil hit the operator.
>>1144507
I don't like how the guy can get hit with like 14 AK rounds at once and just shake it off, meanwhile these mercenaries cant hit shit and stand in the open and have the senses and perception of a mole. Never challenging at all for the player
And that doesnt even include the stealth system where as long as you run in grass crouched your basically undetectable.
>>1149498
>Never challenging at all for the player
This is false. The player was 99% dead in that webm when he finally escaped behind the truck, and he probably did die in the OP webm (that just looks hopeless). Just because it's easy to fight individual enemies doesn't mean it's easy to fight 10 enemies at once who are constantly flanking around to make sure you cannot regen. And none of those guys even had kevlar or power weapons
>>1148967
On the hardest difficulty it really isn't, you're pretty much dead if you fuck up at all

It doesn't, actually. When bitrate is a factor, resolution primarily affects the quality, which automatically gets adjusted to fit the target bitrate.
>>1144830
HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

>>1149498
He's not being hit with 14 rounds. The screen going black and white isn't a health counter like in COD, it's his "luck." The round that kills you is the only round that actually hits you. All the others are just close calls. Even the devs have stated this, and I'm pretty sure if you play the game with slow motion shit enabled you'll see that none of them actually hit him.
