You could even use Windows Movie Maker but I wouldn't recommend it since you can't render a video with a non standard resolution. Just look for simple video editing software
You could make music with FL Studio which is pretty easy to use. There's a trial version which let's you use FL Studio forever with the only downside being not being able to open saved projects. It's a great way to try it out though, so I'd recommend giving it a shot.

It was kinda left up to the viewer's interpretation. But I think the general consensus is that being haibane is a limbo for people, mostly children, who are not ready to pass on after their death and once they can make peace they pass on, which is the day of flight. And the other thing was the circle of sin that Rakka was talking about with the elder, something like if you commit a sin against yourself then you can't forgive it and become sin bound. Which manifests in haibane having black spotted wings, and the only way of getting out of it if someone else forgives you. Rakka was forgiven by the crow, which is assumed to be someone who cared for her in the "previous life" and then Reki was forgiven by Rakka at the end, when it turned out that Reki committed suicide. There's a couple other things like Nemu's creation of the world and the wall but I think those are the main points.
