I believe this is the first time I actually have to leave something in a WIP state...
tl;dr: This is still shit and I should never clone stamp complex skies. But I thought I might as well leave it here since I said I'd complete it.
The main issue being that the artist of the original was very lax about the scenery to the left of the characters (there barely is any in the first place), which ends up in a very blurry blotch of random colors. (This is best noticable if you just zoom out a bit and compare left and right.)
There are two solutions to this, copy pasta the right scenery to the left or move the characters even further to the left essentially extending the image to the right only. I don't like either so I'm stopping here since there is no actual OR to this anymore anyway.
And then there is the sky which just gets worse the more I edit it.
Also thanks for reminding me of the rule of thirds, that's the reason the position of those two looked so off.

Just asking, is it possible to downscale an image that is too large then add in bits to the picture to make it the resolution you want? for example you downscale a 1700x1200 image then draw bits in to make it 1920x1080

okay here are some of them
the entire background has a holographic overlay of it, and the redraw does not
the original has more detail to the arm and hands (including the band on the arm)
the arm doesnt have the fade to it (part of the holographic overlay)
i know im asking for alot, and the chances of me getting what i am asking for is low (and the amount of work required to actually redraw this is really difficult)
i honestly did not expect anyone to even attempt to remove the logo, since it would require alot of detailed redrawing

2nd try. Converted to 8-bit color and then blurred slightly.
Decreasing byte-size of image shows compression is becoming
more efficient as there are more areas of uniform color.
If this isn't satisfactory and/or you can't explain better, you'll probably have

The best way is to find it without the text.
Otherwise, they have to be painted/cloned over.
In this case, where the letter are in front of the background curtains, it's easy. Copy the area above the letters and stretch it downwards.
Where it crosses the girls, you just have to cover the word bit by bit.

Not promising I'll do this one, but wanted to show this as a proof of concept that another anon mentioned on here before. Here I have the letters for "S" and "A" roughly traced out and filled with grey (95,95,95) with the trace for the black lettering and white outline on different layers. The layer for the white outline is set to color burn at ~40% fill and the layer for the black lettering is set to color dodge with ~70% fill. It's far from perfect, but if the trace is a little cleaner, it'll make life a lot easier for the redrawer.

Hey can I have some advice from the photoshop wizards?
I threw this group onto a generic background and I've been trying to blend them in. I painstakingly removed a white border and tried to add some shadows, but it's still just...ok. Is there anything simple I can do to make it look more natural?

I stretched the curtains over the text.
Cleared some of the lettering on the girls with flood fill (set at low tolerance)
and refined the "edges" with colored pencil.
Yes, I have seen the "dodge and burn" method work -- once spectacularly well --
but sometimes there's no substitute for doing it the hard way.
You should be able to finish this yourself.

I think the grass right at the front (very bottom of image) is OK.
Blades further up should be reduced or faded.
I'd also blur the very bottom pixel or three of the treads, where they touch the ground.
They'd sink in a little or, at the very least, be partially hidden in grass.
