Would /vr/ like a daily high score thread? Something where we all play an old arcade game, post a screenshot of our scores, and whoever wins gets nothing?
Could even keep a google doc of every day's leaderboards
I would really appreciate at least trying something like this.
I would be all over this idea. would we include timestamps?

I dont know, i dont wanna force everyone to put that much effort in their high scores. Can we try a few days and see if anyone's suspicious of someone lying/photoshopping/etc?
What game?
Genre?
Platform?

>What game?
Obviously a different one everyday
>Genre?
Anything arcade probably. If it has a highscore and cant technically be beaten, it'd work.
>Platform?
As long as you can play it or PC. Although for games like Donkey Kong, I dont know if we'd use MAME or NES emulators, but it'd be better if everyone used the same version.
How about emulator or console is fine, and we just make sure we are playing the same version of the game. This isn't Twin Galaxies. Maybe we can vote on the next day's game.
I remember everyone did the Balloon Trip challenge after Iwata died.

Yeah that was cool, I wasn't able to play it at the time when I didn't own it, but it made me get a copy.

I'd be down with this idea, I'd love to play for Ms. Pacman highscore.
awesome. a photoshop thread!

Games that have an ending also have space for competition for high scores, especially in such a small time frame.

Ya I guess, really adds room for perfection. Like Ikaruga.
Ok, anything that has a highscore and is old. still gotta maintain that r in /vr/
I'll try to make a thread at midnight EST and see if people participate. Feel free to list game ideas, i think Donkey Kong (NES) would be good

I also think Donkey Kong is a fine start.
