Sometimes, it's just simply trainer physically visualizing what attacks to use like crushing their hands into a fist when using Dragon Claw, sometimes it's a special case with Ash doing the exact same movement's as Greninja because they are synced, and sometimes they do it for no reason other than to look cool and for the animators to brag on and say "hey look, we can do animate this shit now instead of just using split screens and talking heads during a battle."

I HATE Pokemon XY. It is a terrible series. If I could give it a zero or a negative rating I would. Serena, Clemont and Bonnie are annoying, obnoxious and ultimately worthless. They are the worst traveling companions Ash has ever had.The writers are going backwards. Serena is a carbon copy of May and Clemont and Bonnie resemble Max and May. The episodes are stale and boring. The XY series lacks a decent plot and can be described as repetitive. Pokemon: Best Wishes! was much better in comparison. The writers made a mistake by getting rid of Cilan. Even Iris was tolerable compared to Serena. I would not recommend Pokemon XY to anybody and I sincerely hope Serena, Clemont and Bonnie get written off permanently. Pokemon XY needs to end, quickly.
