Got two shiny Charmanders this week, and right now I'm breeding for a second shiny Ralts to get a Gardevoir since I turned my first one into a Gallade. Aftwards, I'm thinking of breeding for a shiny Protean Froakie next.

Yeah luck. I've hatched a few other shinies but this is the first one I've gotten with perfect stats. I got a 6iv foreign ditto from someone on /vp/ a long time ago.
So I guess it's not completely legit. Just hatched a few to get one with 5iv and paired it with the ditto. You don't always get a shiny with the stats you want but that's pretty much the highest chance you have.

Wondertrading off the legion of Dream Ball Male Eevees I've bred, I just got a shiny Braixen, and I see no reason why it can't be legit, other than it being in a Master Ball, which fits with baltisim, but would be rather difficult to get without cheating.

Before I got my perfect ditto. I bred a foreign one and an American one with the destiny knot until the American one had the iv spread I wanted. Then stick the destiny knot in that one and you can get yourself a good shiny. It is however difficult to control the iv of a foreign pokemon

3rd shiny of the day. All while EV training. The zangoose had me scared but it was knocked out easily. What was scary was my own goofs, the sevipers seemed to being getting damage from something I wasn't sure. I accidently used an area attack, accidently sent out a flame body, and almost hit run away. So many mistakes...but I caught it. stressful.

I don't understand, I just don't fucking understand. Been hatching eggs ALL DAY, not even for a shiny (yet) just to get the IV's right before I do solely go for shiny. I've been breeding with two 4IV parents, then two 5IV parents with destiny knot all day, yet constantly only got 1-4 IV babies.
My current parents are a x/31/31/31/31/31 foreign gibble and a 31/31/x/31/31/31 dratini, yet most I hatch are 4IV.
Then this nigger comes along with x/x/31/31/31/x, one of the shittiest IV ones i've bred (but it has marvel scale).
Please help. I have like 6 boxes of dratini's now and they all have barely 5 IV's.
Should I even keep going? Why do I have such shit luck with IV's?

Is there any way you can get ahold of another Destiny Knot, and then just hatch some more until you get the nature you want instead of using an Everstone? And once you have consistently perfect IVs, try to get a shiny from that?

If you have it in one game, it shouldn't be at all difficult if you have PokéBank and a Living Dex.
Bank is just too useful to not have, and a Living Dex is a time saver.

No worries. I'm sure you two were busy. ;) But yeah, friend safari's nice, I wasn't even trying to get anything. That said, if you weren't diversifying your friend safari in the heat of the releases, it might be difficult to do it now.
Also, if you're going to use the game for shiny hunting, I'd definitely get the charm.
