I'm trying to use the Dex Nav in granite cave to fight abras. Yet every time I search for Abra it just says "cannot be found, search elsewhere". (Im not trying to chain, just battling abras).
I've been at it for 20 minutes walking about hitting search and its not coming up, although when I first started, I did get the abra to appear, but now it wont anymore.
Am I just unlucky or am I not taking enough steps or what?

You may just be unlucky. Did you encounter any other Pokemon with the DexNav yet? It won't help with a "chain" but the odds of Abra will slightly increase.Are you shiny hunting?

I think you either need to take more steps, leave the area and return, or a combination of both. I've dealt with the same shit, and DexNav will hit eventually.

Idc if male or female if it has a good nature and IV, saves me the time of breeding further, I'm not an OT/nickname stickler like some people I know unless I'm breeding for a specific HP. Bold is not a good nature for Umbreon unfortunately unless it's the Snarl one iirc, which unless it learns it through lvlup, I have no way of teaching it to one atm.

And 31/*/31/31/31/31 for Snarl, blotch out the SpAtk one for the classic Payback variant. The latter one uses Curse to set up while walling, the former just uses toxic/moonlight/snarl/? to force switches and support the team. I may have fudged it up, saw it on youtube once.
