DP was was when Pokemon anime plots were still fun. There was humor and serious moments that were balanced perfectly. Then came XY, where everything changed from being fun to serious most of the time. The new directors/writers managed to ruin the entire anime be taking all the humor out and having Ash all edgy and shit. Though I will admit the animation and backgrounds are marvelous. CotDs are rare now. And now the only "gag" they have is Clemonts inventions exploding randomly which got boring now. That and TR being their retarded selves as usual.
