:^)
how are you nerds doing with super and its bipolar difficulty curve?
>>24904691
It's Bad
Recruiting everyone took me 55 hours. Good game.
>>24904691
it's pisseasy if you just explore every floor and rake in that shit tier XPjust like every PMD
>>24904711
but dominant strategy is horribly boring
you can beatnot-yamiat under 30 if you're packing enough shit
So which Looplets in Super are must haves? Anything obscure, or just whore the Tight Belt equivalent one?
>>24904733
Obvious ones are the Water Looplet and Excavation Looplet. The former for getting HUGE and the latter for finding moreGLORIOUS sparklies.
>>24904733
emeras usually do more than the looplets themselves
attack x/attack y on a normal looplet is more potent than atk/spa looplets by a large margin, and snorting for stat boosts is incredibly strong for longer dungeons
>>24904733
Water Looplet because it's Pierce Hurler: The Item.
For ones that aren't treasures, the Excavation Looplet and also the Resilient Looplet, especially if you're a fan of moves like Draco Meteor or Superpower.
>>24904748
I've been using Excavation for ages now, breaching 550/720 species. Haven't seen a single gold sparkle floor. The hell am I doing wrong?
>>24904733
Other than already mentioned: Grass Looplet lets you see all traps, Satiated Looplet abolishes hunger from walking or pushing, Tempest and Wildfire buff your offensive stats
>>24904797
No idea, anon. I haven't been playing too much as of late, but I've found a few gold sparkling floors in some of the dungeon's I've visited. I think they're supposed to be rare, too, since they often contain things like Joy Seeds.
Do you have it on your leader at all times?
>>24904825
If leader is defined as the Pokemon I'm currently controlling, yes. I always give it to whichever overleveled recruit was free for the day so I can clear the trash out of my way.
Somebody found this doujin?
>>24904852
oh, that was porn. dammit.
>>24904844
Yep, then it should be working. Either they're only found in certain dungeons (which I strongly doubt), or you just have terrible luck.
Mr. Nuzleaf...
>>24904863
how the fuck could that not be porn
>>24904863
The image is crop porn, I'm looking for the whole doujin
Is this the game with the meme turtle?
>>24904868
>my fucking face when
Just reached the end of thevoidlandsand goddamn this shit is getting good.
That fucking villain reveal isn't new to PMD especially considering Dusknoir, but then the following cutscene really is fantastic. Take notes, GF.
>>24904764
Speaking of Draco Meteor did they ever fix the thing of it lowering SpAtk after the first hit but before all other hits?
Is it even still a room hitter?
>>24904936
I played Explorers of Sky and I still managed to fall for it. Am I just gullible?
>>24904944
Yes, but these games are much more fun when you're gullible.
>>24904957
Gotta admit, I had a good time. Not that I wasn't expecting a good time; I've loved the PMD games.
>>24904936
>>24904944
I was caught completely offguard because I was so paranoid about spoilers before buying the game and saw some master ruser sayingSimipourwas the villain in an completely unrelated thread (everything PMD was filtered here). Some uninterested-in-PMD friend googled it for me without me asking after I told him that and he said he couldn't find anything but I still wasn't sure because the game was somewhat recent and it could be just scarce info.Glad it was wrong. It felt good to be fooled so hard in-game. Even better because I revived that faggot like twice in the previous dungeon even though he was a dead weight.
The only game series to make me cry evrytiem
>>24904944
In Sky, I remember there's a scene where the player sees Dusknoir smiling when the player tells him they're a human.
There's nothing to prepare for it in this game, though. It really does come the fuck out of nowhere, but as soon as it happens a lot of things begin to click, like thetrips he makes, krookodile easily getting past him on the mountain pass, his trip to lively town to keep a monitor on you and probably getting in touch with krookodile, etc.Its done pretty well, actually.
>>24905002The dungeon was kicking my ass, so I ultimately left him behind one or two floors before the end. At first I was glad that he managed to make it to the end off-screen. Key words: at first.
>get killed in a monster house
>get revived by a friend
>take two steps forward into the now-empty room and right onto a Big Blast trap
>Frillish used Hydro Pump!
>Oh, no! Hawlucha was defeated!
>Frillish evolved into Jellicent!
>Jellicent used Ominous Wind!
>Jellicent's [Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, Speed] increased!
>Jellicent used Hydro Pump!
>Oh, no! Florges was defeated!
I've never NOPEd harder out of a room. The only reason I didn't totally wipe was because I had a Distance Dodge on my last Pokemon.
Hey guys! Could someone gimme a rescue? Thanks, I'd really appreciate it. I'm on the 6th floor of that mountain on chap 11
>>24905194
I hate ominous wind in these games holy shit.
>>24905259
Sorry, the picture rotated..
>>24905259
Dibs
Be right there
>>24905268
Thank you so much!you have great taste in gen v starters
>>24905263
Picture orientation doesn't matter, that's what the big corner squares are for.
>>24905283
Ah! Good to know. I wish my phone wouldn't rotate every picture I post though.
Should I include Unknown ! and Unknown ? with all the other Unknown? Or should I stick them in the Gen 3 sheet since they were introduced then?
>>24905293
I'd put them with all the other Unown, just for consistency's sake. It's not like it actually makes a difference other than cosmetically.
Does the final boss in SMD have kickass music? y/n
>>24905307
>Anything with a harmonic background chorus and sampling from the partner theme not kickass
y
Just beat the ruins with Hitmonchan. What other Pokemon other than Hawlucha have made it?
>>24905307
Yes. Even better than Primal Dialga theme
>>24905315
>>24905340
Good, then the tradition continues
>Get Sky
>Going through Drenched Bluff
>Random Machop
>Takes several turns to kill
>Would have one-shot me twice with seismic tosses if I didn't have reviver seeds.
The fuck was that?
I just recruited Mew in PSMD.
Considering Mew can learn every TM, what would be the best moveset for it?
>>24905391
Dark Pulse, Rock Polish, Psychic, and either Flame Charge or Hyper Beam.
>>24905340
Let's not get carried away
I have a question that had troubled me for while.
Is there a downside of using purely joy/golden seeds for leveling?
Is it better train them normally?
Just finished the game. Why didn't anyone tell me it would be thisemotional
>>24905430
Because despite never getting the story, the pacing or the character right at the same times, the devs know how to make you cry like a little girl.
Now go back to the game andbring back the smile
>>24905440
>>24905430
I hate myself for opening spoilers.
>>24905430
The entire credit sequence I was sobbing and chanting over and over "That's not okay. That's not okay. I expected something like this to happen and it's still not okay."
Can I get some help? Midnight Sun Gorge 8f.
>>24905478

>>24905268
Did you ever complete my rescue?
>>24905471
>lurking in the thread
>actually opening spoilers before beating the game
why
>>24905430
I was dreading something bad would happen for the entire game, so I let my guard downonly to get kicked in the emotional balls 2 minutes from the end ;_;
>>24905500
I live dangerously...and stupidly
>>24905500

>>24905508

>>24905506

Man, what a ride this game

I don't understand, all I wanted was to feel like an explorer doing good things, and all I did wasdelay the inevitable for a few dozen more years while knowing my comrades were tormented literally in Hell itself.
I don't know if getting all 720 is worth it.
>>24905689
Did you not play to the ending?
>>24905690
Oh I did. Even the postgame. But everything still feels empty inside, no matter how many levels I gain.
>>24905694
I haven't done postgame yet, but...>delay the inevitable for a few dozen more years
>Jukebox music from previous games is internally titled as DLC
Get hype?
>>24905699Isn't the big bad supposed to keep respawning because it is literally everyone's negative feelings? Maybe it stopped after you got it this time? I don't know, but fuck it still takes the wind out of my sails.
>>24905701
>main menu music dlc
Fuck, I'd probably buy it..
>>24905702You got it this time. Mew accepts that negativity will always exists and now Dark Matter won't exist to destroy everyone.
That's why Mew vanishes, and you don't return to the human world.
>>24905707Oh, fair enough. That makes me feel moderately better until the next PMD game comes along to probably give the protagonist cancer or something.
>>24905708
SMD really feels like the last one though. I don't really know where it can go from here.
>>24904797
Your luck is horrible, man. I've found like 5 of them and I've only had the game since Friday.
>>24905712
Eh, where there's a demand, there's probably a sequel. Probably. If not, at least it ended on a relatively high note.
>>24905715
You're right, and this is pokemon.
>>24905712
A new plot of course!especially since the negativity/Dark Matter thing was kind of similar to the Bittercold from Gates
>>24905719
Maybe this time they can get all of it right.
The characters of Super, the plot of Explorers and the pacing of Rescue Team.
Tips for "Secret Base" ExpeditionsAlways bring an Orb that can inflict some sort of Stun attack, such as a Petrify Orb. Sleep works too, but that's a bit risky. Also, make sure you have a good 3, 4 Apples, as you'd want to use Alliances a lot. You can probably figure out the rest.
Good luck.
>>24905719Man, first a giant meteorite, then time getting out of whack, then all negativity being manifest, then all negativity being manifest again after you failed 1000 years ago?
Goddamn, the inhabitants of this world are fucking crazy.
>>24905730I'm pretty certain 3 takes place not so long ago up in the Mist Continent, where the Bittercold was more a warning or prophetical event than anything else. If the ancients actually wrote this shit down then someone would have probably expected something.
>>24905748makes you wonder if darkrai and dusknoir were agents or supporters of dark matter, or possibly even
void shadows given manifest in the real world and trying to turn the whole world into the voidlands
>>24905806Paralysis turns the planet into the voidlands?
Second sprite sheet is finished. Let me know if I made any mistakes like last time.
>>24905806I don't remember why dusknoir did the shit he did. The primal depreciation of Dialga seems related to Dark Matter but the temporal apocalypse directly opposes it. It's obvious that a planet which is fixated to a specific point because time fucking stopped wouldn't have the chance to plummet into the sun because the future was a thing at all. The next Bittercold had nearly reached fruition by that time but if there's no life then there's no suffering. It was the only way for the world to stop spinning, but not fall into the sun.
>>24905814>I don't remember why dusknoir did the shit he did.
Maybe it's elaborated on in the special episodes, but not wanting to paradox yourself out of existence is a pretty good reason.
>>24905817You nailed its reason.

>>24905842
>Grovyle is a smile we failed to protect
>>24905842where were the humans in the bad future
>>24905857
Well pretty much everyone was dead.
I do wonder where MC came from though.
>>24905707But if Dark Matter is made of everyone's negativity, then why doesn't every pokemon in the world disappear?
>>24905912Dark Matter is just the manifestation of all the negativity lashing out. When Mew accepts that negativity will always exist, then it's calmed and Dark Matter doesn't exist any more.
I think
>>24905914
Tangentially related
>PSMD characters finally revelead in Japan
>Ampharos called "she"
>Game released in NA
>Amppharos called "he"
>Wigglytuff called "he" in Explorers
>Wigglytuff apparently called "she" in PSMD
>>24905857I always assumed they came from the main series world.
Also, would the human have fought alongside Grovyle or hid behind him as a trainer
>>24906037
More importantly, did theyfhug?
>>24905808
I dunno, really. Its just all retarded headcanon and speculation.i remember just getting a huge 'Sky future' feeling when I went through the voidlands. No life, weird phantasms, general sense of dread, etc. Darkrai himself talked about consuming the world in endless nightmare which is kind of what the voidlands is. Plus, he's spectral and manipulative like the void shadows. Kinda weak arguments tbqh, but I just got a distinct vibe from the shadows
>>24905814Dusknoir just didn't want to disappear from history, but we don't know his exact origins and he is related to nuzleaf/yveltal in that he came under Primal Dialga's power. PD himself seems to just be Dialga who is possibly corrupted with Dark Matter
I can't help but wonder to the implication that Arceus dictated the whole plot of Sky made at the end of one of the special episodes. Since the planet was frozen in time, DM nor BC could do their shit, maybe Arceus meant for this to happen and knew it would eventually be reversed.
In the end, it's Pokemon, there's no way they planned all this out, but it does seem like they all take place on the same planet, so it brings up some interesting theories.
>>24906049
That headcanon and speculation is interesting though.
Maybe it's just a cute reference. SMD loved calling back to other games.
I really need to play those special episodes.
>>24905914
Nothing on wildcritters/sadpanda/e621, I'm out of sources for the dump
>>24906049
Another thing that bugs me isif all the PMD worlds are one, and the Bittercold spawns and wrecks everything if there's too much misery, then how did the bittercold not wreck everything in the dark future, which I'm sure would be a really shitty place to live.
>>24906066Everything except Pokemon and Mystery Dungeons are trapped on the time, and Bittercold is not a Pokemon. That's the only explanation.
>>24906085Or he was trapped in a time freeze at it happened.
>>24906089Yeah. That's what I meant
>>24906037I always imagined the human would have been an item caddy going through dungeons.
>>24905812
Oh my god sunkern.
>>24906066I think the Bittercold was just frozen in time like everything else and most of the Pokemon that inhabit the future aren't really Pokemon, but more like Void Shadows or phantoms. Plus, PD and Darkrai could have easily defeated Bittercold, it's not as if they wanted the world to be destroyed.
>>24905812
I don't see anything wrong this time.
>>24905812
is umbreon intentionally missing or...?
>>24905715
The PMD series seems to be Spike Chunsoft's biggest sellers by far, I doubt they'd want to let that go
>>24906353
I'm fine with them milking it a bit. Gates to Infinity taught them to stay in line and keep it challenging.
As long as they keep the gameplay and heart it's gonna be less of a rehash than mainline pokemon at least.
>>24906353
dangan ronpa crossover when
>>24905712
Maybe have a second version similar to Sky, but introducing Volcanion, AZ's Floette and Zygarde's percent forms(if that ever becomes a thing in the games).
>>24906421
You could introduce that with a DLC pack nowadays. I'd refer that to a 3rd version style cashgrab.
>>24906467
Personally, I'd rather just pay for a third version than pay DLC, and to think, that version probably would have extra starters like Litleo, Eevee, Phanpy and Zorua.
>>24906488
I suppose it's just a matter of preference.
Anyone got any idea how well Super's doing saleswise?
>>24906488
That could also be DLC.
The problem is to add them in as quiz results.
What's the best way to get wands in Pelipper Island? Is there a dungeon that packs more wands than usual or something?
>>24905337
Damn, congrats anon! Far as I know, someone did it with Heatran.
>one of the 'recruit em all' challenge anons
>is in postgame now
>my face when Sky Tower spawns no HP and PP restoring items and food spawns only on first part and Summit is the part of the game with tricky layoutswhy the fuck it is so likely to be in this situation
>>24905860
Always seemed like a plothole.
In the past, we don't see any humans. Yet Pokémon know about them, there are artifical Pokémon...
In the future, there's you... and that's all humans we are sure of.
Articuno was piss easy. Are Zapdos and Moltres any harder?
>>24906694
Seems to vary heavily between games. Rescue Team suggests thathumans existed there at one point with abandoned industrial buildings, Explorers suggested theymay come from the future, Gates suggests that they're regarded asmythological creatures from another world, and Super suggested thatthey were from the past

Igglybuff the Prodigy was probably my favorite, super cute as hell. I was so excited when I saw that mission in Super where Igglybuff asks you to give something to Armaldo.
How far do you normally go in pumping your starter's stats before your partner's or others'? I'm not too far in the endgame, but only having 40-some defense with my partner is hurting me inside. I'm planning on balancing mine out, but I'm not sure how well it'll work. Do you try to even out all of your mon's stats to have a balanced team, or go all out on one to create a monster?

If there /is/ a next game. I won't get my hopes up to do not end up disappointing myself.
>>24907580
I feel differently.
Super Mystery Dungeon is a great return to form for the series but there's still a lot of missed potential and the story is pretty clumsy.
My hopes are high for another one because I know that Super can be outdone.
>>24907566
SMD felt like the last game to me...
Is it safe to say that Super Mystery Dungeon is the best game in the series?
>>24907598
No. It's too close. I think that for every good change from Sky, there's a bad one.
>>24907590
After all the work giving every single pokemon a new 3D sprite, I think they'd milk it for a bit longer
>>24907598
Not with the connection orb, finite amount of missions, meaningless evolution and lack of recruitingand genders.
>>24907614
>3D sprite
>>24907598
No, it's not safe. Saying this would put you in immediate mortal danger.
>>24907614
Are these sprites new to Mystery Dungeon, or just the ones made with XY?
>>24907589
I hope you're right.
And I agree with you about the story.
If we had one with the new things that Super indroducted, but with an Sky (Or better?) level of story, it would be insane.
>>24907622
The little dungeon models are different than the "battle" ones from XY, though some are reused from Gates
>>24907635
I thought they reused all the Gates oneswhich aren't many, actually
>>24907640
I mean, Gates didn't have EVERY pokemon, did it? They reused all of those, and then made the rest in the same style.
>>24907643
Severely limited selection of pokemons was THE main complaint with Gates, apart all the ones about casualization.
>>24907617
>finite amount of missions
Doesn't pelipper island give you an indefinite number of missions?
>>24907672
I think it just lets you wander through dungeons and collect items, not actual missions
>>24907631
I didn't like all the gameplay changes in super. Some things like wands make boss fights trivial and I'm not sure how to feel about the connection orb system.
Sky's story is pretty great after you have the special episodes to flesh out the characters. At least Super did that well.
>>24907694
I like how the connection orb made the NPC's in the village more than just story elements, but it also took out a lot of the enjoyment of building your own team.
I'd like if they went with more of a hybrid system, where you can use the orb to get the level 50 Salamence to help you if you need it, or you can recruit members the traditional way.
>>24907617
Connection orb should have been implemented with normal means of recruitment and also infinite number of jobs, yes. And evolution should have provided something, they tease you with the massive HP boost when you evolveduring the Entei, Yveltal and Dark Matterfights. There were genders, though.
Still, these flaws can be overlooked to some extent and I feel at ease calling this the best game in the series.
Anyway...
So I justgot my partner back after getting my ass handed to me through that fucking dungeon, and I brought Salamence and terrakion with me. My partner didn't level up at all, and I'm severely underlevelled for the rest of the post game. Anybody have tips on where to grind for levels/materials, or do I just go through pelipper island a lot?
>>24907734
faggot use spoiler tagsYou just motivated me to play the postgame, thanks
>>24907724
If there is something PMD is also good at is at making you rage at the most unexpected of pokemons.
Fuck Vanilluxe.
Can we talk about how terrible the first mystery dungeon game was? The game play was ridiculously unbalanced (multi hit moves were broken, dungeons went on far too long, revive seeds and other utility items were too rare) and the story and characters were terrible, especially compared to the later games. Im surprised the first game was successful enough for sequels.
>>24907736
>vanillixe used icy wind!
>vanilluxe used uproar!
I swear to fucking God.
Those Noiverns were legitimately terrifying. Thank God I only saw one, and I just got out of the range of Razor Wind.
>>24907774
It had the novelty factor going for it, plus I'm pretty sure Mystery Dungeon was already a decently popular niche series in Japan before it made a spinoff with pkemon.
>>24907774
Yeah, the first PMD game made a ton of mistakes, but it did two key things right: expansiveness and replayability. It also had a good emotional ending which really made it memorable.
>>24907807
>It also had a good emotional ending which really made it memorable.
Nobody who went into that game before it got this whole reputation was expecting so effective a story. I think that's what made a lot of /v/irgins fall in love with the series.
>>24907774But the music, man.
>epilogue done
>time for doing all these missions I've postponed for too long plus treasures
>visit Mesprit mission
>Heart Lake B29
>Finally a lengthy dungeon
>Magmortar shows up on the first floor, instakills Mudkip with a single flamethrower
this is going to be brutal, isn't it?
>>24905430
I found the endingto be too much of a nonsensical plot and twist dump to feel anything
>>24907843
That'sfine__and you're completelycorrect to feel that waybecause the entire plot was absolutelykind of a mess
>>24907843
I get that. Too many Batman gambits we weren't a part of. It would have helped if we had more of a say in what went on.
But I didn't expect that. Caught me by surprise. All that I have left is to pay it forward and be a good Senpai to New and the others.
>>24907843
Actually the twists and turns made the story more interesting for me. It's kind of crazy.
If there is another PMD game in the future, the plot should not be about saving the world. Instead, it should be about the protag and/or the partner discovering the truth about themselves, finding a way home, andupdating their journal.
>>24907849
>>24907852
It was the wholeagreeing to amnesia thing that was the real kicker. It was aggressively retarded and served no purpose, and we already had a decent amnesia explanation from Dark Matter/Nuzleaf earlier
>>24907863
Well we know they needed to break the cycle to win for good.
What makes no sense is why they shot themselves in the foot to accomplish it.
>>24907849
>>24907843
While I did like the story, it would have been better ifDark Matter and what it was had been established earlier and also more interaction with Yveltal or pawns of Dark Matter before the literal peniultimate dungeon. It also would have helped if they took breaks in the run between Revelation Mountain and, well, the final boss, where you could go on explorations and such. Then again that's what killed the flow right after you reach Lively Town, but eh.
As it is I'm happy with it and the game did ensnare me in a few of it's traps.
>>24907870
I think the biggest flaw of the story for me might actually bethe partner. He/she just didn't endear me very much and found myself wishing for one of the school kids to be the partner instead. Now it wouldn't be such a huge deal, but the entire story revolved around the partner, and as a result, the entire story just felt like a dud to me. The player character might as well not even be there given how little he/she affects the story.
can anyone tell me how to use alliance pls
>>24907870Dark Matter's lackeys need some clear motivation. Dusknoir was a good villain because he was well established as a character and his motivation was something anyone can understand. He didn't want to die. As a human faced lackey to Primal Dialga, a simple pure evil type, he's perfect.
I think there needed to be some clear restrictions on what would enable Dark Matter to be able to control you. Right now it's just "if you have darkness, he can control you" - but that's so broad, it opens plotholes and destroys opportunities for motivation. It should have been some kind of manipulation, where he can act indirectly through whatever negativity you have.
With all the development devoted to Nuzleaf it's a real waste to simply have him be controlled rather than have Dark Matter trying to influence him through some kind of dark secret set up in all that time. Why not do the same with Espurr to make the whole double agent thing more tense, so it didn't have to end with a "jk lol"? It'd be way more relatable and it'd be more compelling.
I don't mind the pacing after Revelation Mountain, because Sky used that model and it worked fine there. I wish some of those dungeons were meatier though,Tree of Lifeis an absolute waste.
>>24907902
Also, it'd make the ending whereDark Matteris finally defeated much more justified.
>>24907902Dark Matter itself said it was made of everyone's darkness, and the partner said everyone had darkness in them, so by that logic, couldn't Dark Matter have possessed anyone at any time? Why not just possess the partner to kill the player character in their sleep or vice versa?
>>24907911I can understand if maybe the MC and partner are special because they're the recurring heroes, but DM restricting his own assets to Yveltal and a bunch of nobodies is stupid.
>>24907920It's a shame, since I think that the idea that any of your friends could suddenly be possessed and turn on you at any second could have been pretty creepy if exploited correctly.
>>24907927Like I said, it seems liek Dark Matter could have been the kind of villain who'd prey on the weaknesses of each character. The game seems well structured for that kind of villain.
The reward for exploring all the dungeons really should have been removing the break system so you could just use whatever you wanted from that point onwards
I didn't care about anything in the last 1/3 of the game and just wanted to go back to Serene Village and chill.
>>24907939It also wasn't explained what negativity aspect that DM latched onto with Yveltal and Nuzleaf either.
>>24907911
>>24907920
>>24907939They could have explained the partner/your character by saying the scarves also made them immune to dark matter, but having it prey on your friends, especially in the second to last dungeon would have made things more interesting.
>>24907949Ylveltal seems like a natural match given that Dark Matter hates the Tree of Life... But you're right, Nuzlef is missing.
>>24907951
These are all interesting ideas.
I feel like SMD was rushed as far as story goes. Maybe if whoever wrote it gave the game another pass it could have been on par with an earlier game.
>>24907911
>>24907920
>>24907939How about this for a hypothetical restriction: the power drives a Pokemon to despair by having them hallucinate their Pokemon friends leave them, then making them swear fealty to the powers owner. However, humans are immune, Pokemon with human souls can resist the effects by remembering their human friends, and any Pokemon that is friends with a human or a Pokemon with a human soul can resist the effect by remembering that friend. How can it be made better?
>>24907957That would at the very least give the human more of a reason to be there. Contrived and convenient, maybe, but it's something. I always felt that one of the problems the story had is that the player character had very little reason to be there.
>>24907957
too complicated for a kid's game
how about this -if you get turned to stone and fall into despair in the voidlands, you become a minion.
>>24907951It does say that the scarves prevented their petrification when against DM
>>24907968Following that idea loosely, it'd have been spooky if the society members that were void shadowd in the void appeared in the 'real' world and tried to stop you.
>>24904660
The damn desert town theme is stuck in my head.
>>24906323
>>24907181
And Sheet anon fucks up again. Thanks guys, I'll have it fixed soon.
>>24907979
Maybe it's a bit too dark for PMD.
But anyway, I think all this speculation just speaks about how lacklustre the story in Super was.
>>24907956
Maybe it's just that the storyline was so fucking locking the writers just ended up getting confused by the end of development.
>>24906373
Who would be the captives, and what would their Super Exploration Club Level talents be?
>>24907984
>Maybe it's a bit too dark for PMD
Bollocks
>>24907984
>Too Dark
Gates did have that scene withKyurem murdering Hydreigon and brutalizing the player in the desert. So it wouldn't be out of the question
I think Super would have really benefited from a re-write. I can't whine too much though, the gameplay was a step up from the other ones, and unlike the other games, I'm enjoying the post-story.
>>24907993
>ultraviolent, gore-splattered war sequence set to Cannibal Holocaust songs
There. Too dark for PMD.
>>24908000
Nice tripsI'd be strangely ok with that, just for the audacity for it.
>>24908000
As long as it's narrated by cute pokemon.
>>24907984
Wouldn't a lot of speculation imply the opposite? That it was an interesting story that needed to be refined?
>>24908029
If it's speculation then yes, but this is just trying to rewrite the story to be interesting.
>>24908029
There's a difference between wondering about deep pokelore and wondering what the fuck is happening
Here's the revised gen 2 sheet. Umbreon is included this time.
>>24908073
Th-Thank you kind anon!
>>24908034
The story was undoubtedly interesting, though not in a good way for many people.
This game had very good scenes and moments, but it doesn't have a strong string thing it altogether. Overall it probably has the strongest moments of any PMD game, and I know kids who play it will be overwhelmed and definitely remember it as a great game (mostly cuz I and a lot of others felt that way just by playing the original PMD as children, which doesn't offer half the experience this game does). As for adults, I think the people who skipped Gates will like Super better. That's just my intuition speaking, though.
>>24908243
>people who skipped gates will like Super better
Why is that though?
>>24908253Because they share a very similar overall plot.
>>24908291
If nobody played it then it makes sense to recycle it.
