DR3: Despair Arc episode 1, lines sorted by character
The fuck? Isn't the bump limit 700 posts?
I made this way too early.
Fucking crazy theory coming through, just hear me out.
There's actually no one else working for Monokuma. There was never a traitor among them. He's just waking up a random player each time, and letting the extremely volatile and violent environment do the killing for him. This will go on until either everyone wises up and realizes just how far they have fallen, or until everyone is dead.
After all this shit DR cast came through I already think that "bad" end was a bliss we haven't deserved.
I WANTED TO PROTECT THAT SMILE /DRG/
I WANTED TO PROTECT IT AND I FAILED
SHE TRIPPED AND LANDED ON THE CHANDELIER?!
She can talk, she reminded everybody one of the may have a forbidden action that reveals the as the traitor. I think she isn't allowed to talk to Naegi directly, which is why she nodded for him to escape.
Fedora-kun or Tengan.
Heres a big plot twist: traitor is Junko disguised as Yu Narukami
reason: Junko likes girls therefore junko is a lesbian. Narukami was in love with Chisa but thats not right so it was Junko in love with Chisa then she killed her to cause maximum despair
The traitor is someone who isn´t obvious. Only logical choice is the taurus guy
>Close to naegi and aoi at the time of murder
>Protects them to make them think he can´t be murderer
>Gives motivational speech to naegi to get his hope up
>Only to completely crush it into despair by killing his friend
Can we all agree on this?
FUNNY YOU SHOULD SAY THAT BECAUSE I PERSONALLY THOUGHT OF PIC RELATED WHEN I WAS DRAWING THAT
Naegi is the Traitor in DR2 Junko uploaded to him
Mute-chan is the mastermind, she doesnt talk because she has monokuma's voice. Since she helped develop the program and all she had a chance to see where she could fuck up stuff.
The "fight" at the start was all a ruse to throw out any hint of traitor
Gozu cause he's most developed character out of all newbies and I feel he had his spotlight already.
Hope I'll be wrong
>Naegi is the traitor
>Kirigiri discovers this but can't confront him about it because she isn't allowed to talk to him
>Kirigiri is fucked anyway because she either dies or she is an accomplice because she knows
...Quick question. I don't have an image for visual aid, but I'm sure if you guys are interested in discussing it, you can find the frame. When Makoto wakes up, there's blood on his left hand.
What I find interesting is the pattern of the blood. On the back of his hand, there's a strip of blood running horizontally across and then some blood at the fingertips, while it looks like the whole inside of his hand is covered in blood.
What could produce this pattern?
Want to feel even more despair?
Look at his hand.
It's only partially bloody because Asahina held her hand on his when she died.;_;
Danganronpa 2 is so weird
Why do I feel like the sidekick
Also the switch from Naegi to Hajime is like Phoenix to Apollo all over again
Feel killing off all three of the characters who helped Naegi escape super quick would just be kinda lazy.
Also, if Miaya actually DOES die, I bet Monomi's going to keep talking. Emergency AI boot or something.
The traitor is Naegi. Just accept it anon.
They were locked up, he fell asleep next to Asahina and woke up with blood on his hand.
Granted, Junko's IA is probably controlling him, but still
Do you blame Munakata for how things turned out?
Come on Anon, he looks cool and sounds kinda nice, but he's a total asshat.
NOPE. I'll only allow Seiko dying if Miaya lives.
>Following standard mafia procedure
No, he's doing fine.
No, he is the only one who actually tries to defeat despair, which gives me the sweetest despair because i am team despair
Hes already in despair, his ideas of hope have been so twisted after seeing all his allies die to despair. Whatever he seemed like at the start of the FF has shattered.
He is the traitor
My gut feeling tells me it won't happen and she is gonna be just the girl with big titties that likes to eat a lot.
My gut feelings are not as good as hers, though, I hope I'm wrong, I need more Akane.
Well, he didn't of thought of reinforcing the place?
I'm thinking Gozu:
>naegi manages to convince a few people that he wouldn't have killed one of his closest friends
>in the interest of disclosure he reveals that gozu and miaya were in the room too
>miaya immediately eliminated, shitstorm over whether it was naegi or gozu
>someone tries to confront gozu, takes the fight too far and gets him killed
>people accuse the killer of murdering gozu solely because they were buttmad that he didn't join in the witch hunt
>remaining group starts splitting into factions separated by petty squabbles
He killed Bandai! He wasn't even sorry about it! Hell, Takumi from killer killer, who works under him, is a more likable character. And he's a serial killer!
>Naegi, kill yourself my man
Could someone remove/change the red shirt on this pic to match munakata's suit?
HONESTLY I ONLY BLAME HIM FOR BEING SO NAIVE. THE BUILDING BEING COMPROMISED IS HIS OWN FAILURE. HE ALSO LETS HIS LAPDOG RUN AROUND UNHINGED.
HE COULD HAVE TRIED TO KEEP THINGS ORDERLY AND INDEED APPROACHED THE SUBJECT OF LYNCHING TRAITORS GOING JUST FINE IF HE COULD HAVE MAINTAINED SOME CALM ORDER.
HE IS A FAILURE OF A LEADER.
TENGAN IS ALSO A FAILURE, BUT AT LEAST HE IS KIND IT SEEMS.
SHOUTOUTS TO KOICHI FOR PLAYING ULTIMATE
MATCHMAKERIN THE SITUATION.
That's definitely a good excuse
Nobody knew where the place was but him.
He didn't think there would literally be a traitor among them hacking their system. They weren't attacked from the outside. They were mainly attacked from the inside.
>Promotional material paints him as a cold hearted, scheming extremist who will do anything to get what he wants
>First episode starts to make it seem it wasn't the case, and that he actually had some decent redeeming qualities to him, and that Juzo was simply acting completely out of line
>NOPE HE IS EVEN MORE OF A DOUCHEBAG THAN YOU THOUGHT
Either he gets the shit kicked out of his ego and Rance-esque morality complex, or he's gonna die horribly, with no one mourning for him.
Either way I will be laughing
>Lets just kill the last hopes of humanity off 1 by 1, we'll get the traitor eventually
>When the entire event is being televised
He hasn't done anything wrong yet but he's pretty stupid. His actions are honestly helping bring despair, if anything. Literally doing Monokuma's and the traitor's job for them.
>I dont see the issue
She has a backstory, you know? She deserves some solid character development, not just "lol tits brah"
Munakata just knows how to play mafia better than you.
Bandai is a garbage gimmick character though. Glad he's dead. I wouldn't feel sorry for him either.
Why do people keep saying Munakata is wrong? The FF staff are expandable (besides Juzo), if you kill everyone you wipe out despair. You know how you win in horse races? You bet for every horse. Same concept here, Munakata can just hire new employee's since he's the only essential pillar of the FF.
NG Codes are fucking fascinating.
What would your NG code be? Mine'd probably be "Refusing to reveal an NG code."
But that'll turn a loss, you can't profit by betting on every horse...
At least in thursday we'll have our portion of sweet
despairand no one will die
IF HE WAS SUCH A GREAT LEADER PERHAPS HIS SUBORDINATES WOULDN'T REGULARLY BE OBJECTING TO HIS METHODS. NO, BY THIS LOGIC HE'S ONLY THE LEADER FOR ONE PERSON.
I WILL LET MY OWN MAFIA SKILLS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES.
LIFE IS SIMPLY UNFAIR
Don't you realize that despair is not something that can be wiped out by killing a set number of people? If people outside see the hopes of the world killing each other simply because they suspect that one of them may be the traitor, how much despair do you think that will cause?
Well, for one, her hands aren't bloody anyway. Two, by the look of the blood, she was probably moved to her left, which would mean she was moved farther away from Makoto, i don't think she'd be able to reach his hand like that. The blood is also only on the inside/palm of his hand, his finger tips, and across the back of his hand, in a kinda strange, unnatural way. Don't know what to think of that yet.
RIP Bandai, too pure for this world.
RIP Asahina, you can finally eat all the donuts you want with Sakura.
>killing a character that already went through this shit once
That's bullshit, but it was so obvious she was going to die this episode with all Naegi going like "Don't worry!, leave it to me!"
PRECISELY. THESE PEOPLE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE PILLARS OF AUTHORITY. THE PRECEDENT SET HERE IS THAT MURDERING SUSPECTED DESPAIR-FOLK IS COMPLETELY ACCEPTABLE. HIS IRRESPONSIBLE AND RECKLESS MURDEROUS INTENT IS GOING TO END UP DESTROYING THE WORLD EVEN FURTHER.
GOZU MAY BE THE TRAITOR ONE DAY, BUT AT LEAST HE KNOWS WHAT THE SCORE IS.
BEING FIXATED ON ELIMINATING PEOPLE WHO FEEL AN EMOTION IS PRETTY ABSURD. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THOSE REMAINING TO CALMLY SOLVE THE PROBLEM.
TO BE FAIR, MUNAKATA HAS A GOOD POINT THAT MAKOTO SHOULD KILL HIMSELF, BUT HE ALSO SHOULD CONSIDER THE POSSIBILITY THAT IT'S SOMEONE ELSE RESPONSIBLE. INDEED, ONE BY ONE KILLING THE MOST LIKELY TRAITOR IS A GOOD SOLUTION, BUT EVENTUALLY THE TRAITOR WILL JUST FIND A WAY TO GET RID OF YOU ALL THE SAME.
THE DIFFERENCE IN THIS AND A MAFIA GAME IS THAT IN THIS SITUATION, THE DEATHS ARE REAL ON BOTH SIDES.
LAST I CHECKED, THE GREAT GOZU IS NOT A MANLET.
Mafia is a game and the rules are made specifically to facilitate the game.
His entire strategy is literally just to keep killing each other until he gets lucky. In an actual situation like this you wouldn't want to rely on luck like that because it'll just lower your numbers even faster.
Instead of only 1 person dying, his actions will lead to 2 dying per hour. Instead of having 15 hours to figure this shit out they'd only have 7.`
Seriously Naegi needs to wake up and develop. His ways simply isn't going to make everything right. I'm highly disappointed in him for thinking that everybody around him won't kill each other just because they're from FF. It's the same dumb speech he gave over and over again in DR1 about how they're classmates and friends and all that shit yeah people kept dropping like flies all around him. You'd think he'd learn by now.
This is why I never really cared for Naegi. Hajime wouldn't be this naive.
Bandai anon here. My laptop's power jack is broken, so I can only browse on my phone now. I want to record Bandai's
final words, but I guess that'll have to wait for another day.
On another note, looks like my eight petal theory and death predictions are still 100% correct so far. Let's just see how long that lasts...
RIP Bandai, you precious thing. You didn't deserve this. RIP, Asahina, too. I expected your death, but it still hurt.
Also, how would you feel if Great Gozu was revealed to be a girl? Just a fun crack theory I thought about during today's episode.
I AM GLAD YOU ARE SEEING THIS THE WAY I AM SEEING THIS. PEOPLE ARE COMPARING A GAME WITH RULES THAT ARE LOCKED IN TO A SITUATION WHERE ANY PLAYER CAN DIE AND KILL AT ANY TIME.
MUNAKATA IS BASICALLY BONED THE MOMENT NAEGI IS DEAD AND NOT THE TRAITOR. IT IS AT THIS POINT THAT HE STARTS KILLING OFF PEOPLE THAT DO NOT AGREE WITH HIM DUE TO MUH SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS
AGREE WITH THIS TOO. THIS THINKING IS THE ONLY REASON UD EVEN HAD A CHANCE TO BE SPARED.
I SHARE YOUR PAIN.
I PERSONALLY HAVE ASSUMED GOZU WAS A WOMAN SINCE HE WAS ANNOUNCED AS A CHARACTER AND APPROPRIATELY POSTED BEST BOY BANDAI AND BEST GIRL GOZU ACCORDINGLY.
I really wish Naegi would just go nuclear next episode after one of his closest friend just gets murdered next to him
Kirigiri knows. But honestly besides the 5 DR2 survivors, we don't know if the others are still remnants of despair or not. Hell even some of the survivors are iffy
>Despair arc shows Chiaki not falling in despair
>Future arc shows her being Miaya and she actually did fall in despair
>Also, how would you feel if Great Gozu was revealed to be a girl? Just a fun crack theory I thought about during today's episode.
Well, we have 4 alive females now, so it wouldn't surprise me if one of the males was a female instead.
No, Kirigiri and the real Togami know too.
I really wish Nagito was here. He could probably guess the traitor on his first try. But yeah, Munakata's plan is stupid. He's playing a game with a 1/15 chance of being successful. Not good odds, and failure means that you not only kill an important leader of the Future Foundation, but you also create despair by killing your comrade.
>Remember in the first episode when Izayoi threw a kunai at Aoi which left a mark on the door?
>Kirigiri noticed this and so she's figured out this is a different room to the one they were in when sleeping gas knocked them out.
What do you think is the significance of this scene? Is it just Kirigiri doing Kirigiri things?
IT IS THE ONLY REASON NAEGI IS ON TRIAL AND ALL OF THEM GATHERED IN ONE PLACE. I CERTAINLY WON'T DEFEND THAT NAEGI'S ACTIONS WERE NAIVE AT BEST BUT IT ALSO MAKES SENSE TO CONSIDER THE NEO WORLD PROGRAM GIVEN THE CIRCUMSTANCES. IT WAS THERE, MIGHT AS WELL TRY.
ISHIMARU LIVES FOREVER IN OUR SPIRITS AND IN NAEGI'S WRIST
DAMMIT, YOU'VE CAUGHT ME.
There's no point in LIVING once you LOSE the one you care about... the MOST!
Kirigiri will die second to last episode after saving Naegi from a possible murder attempt (yelling his name and telling him to move or whatever to save him from it) Sadly this means that she won't be murdered by a traitor, but instead die from breaking her forbidden action (talking to naegi)
The kunai could be in a place it shouldn't be.
The culprit didn't make an exact match, but a kunai embedded in the wall somewhere should be easy to do. Just not the true location.
Holy fuck, you might be right. In this shot we see that the hole was made in exactly the same spot that Kirigiri kneeled down to.
But the victims who suffered to those guys wouldn't want this. Why give scum like the remnants of chance. Where was those victims' chances?
Naegi's plan was naive no doubt just like everything else he does. The Neo World Program is dangerous in many ways than one.
Personally, I think there might be some truth in the OP predicting their deaths. Sometimes. I think that
Naegi will have to try the FINAL DEAD ROOM to get out. And he'll lose.
The first episode seems to show that there are many similar rooms to that one. In the little chat with chisa and munakata they showed a room with the same kinda desk, chairs, and even chandelier with the only difference being that it had windows. I don't think it's far fetched that a building like this would have many similar rooms.

You gotta keep going man... Do it for her
Blacksmith is the traitor but Naegi has Junko's AI inside of him.
They're not evil. Just extreme. Like Towa was, only they want to kill teenagers, not children. They're slightly better and easier to sympathize with moral-wise.
It doesn't stop them from being right, but they do have everyone's best interest at heart and don't think it's very possible to unfuck Junko's brainwashing. Also their best friend was just killed by the terrorists they hate, so they're extra ornery.
>Chiaki is the SHSL gamer
>There are STILL people in this thread who don't know who the true mastermind is.
>Spend entirety of DR1 thinking about how it would be 10x better if it had a "Spot the suspicious part in this image" minigame like Ace Attorney
>They only go and put it in the sequel
fugg me this shit is soooo much better than the original
The Future """Foundation""" is a bunch of unhinged lunatics who think they're somehow the good guys because their scapegoat is hope rather than despair. As we've already seen from their base being attacked and them being captured, they aren't really the brightest bunch.
Yeah I don't know how I feel about Asahina's death. Killing off the survivors of the first game just kind of cheapens the ending of the first game.
Which I guess is more despair but it's just such easy despair
Fucking nigger will do anything except write music.
When will the future foundation special troops breach the building and save the day?
Idea just popped in my head.
Assuming that the rumor about Andou lacing her candies with drugs is true, what are the chances that Izayoi is gonna be hit HARD by withdrawal symptiom?
REMINDER THAT OF ALL THE NUMEROUS TALENTS ALIVE, ULTIMATE FARMER WAS ACTUALLY SOMETHING THAT COULD HAVE SAVED THE PLANET FROM WHAT WAS CAUSED BY THE DESPAIR.
CAREFUL, YOU'RE GOING TO BE ACCUSED OF BEING WORSE AT MAFIA THAN MUNAKATA
EXTREMISM COUPLED WITH A KNEEJERK REACTION IS A RECIPE FOR DISASTER.
>Assuming that the rumor about Andou lacing her candies with drugs is true
Holy shit, is she Teru now?
Why doesn't the future foundation just hire out mercs to do their work?
I'm sure fenrir would accept the contract.
>all going in in suit and tie
>No armor among the entire group
>No long guns or automatic weapons
>Everyone has their guns pointed down, absolutely no one is in a position to put down a potential threat
everyone goes in all at once and leaves themselves wide open to attack
I actually liked it, his death was too beautiful
Also wanna add that the table is broken when it wasn't before they went to sleep, even before the chandelier fell on it.
I'm wondering how the hell everything got bolted down, though??
