1. Open the nearby list and start walking in one direction.
2. If it moves up the list, keep walking. If it doesn't move, keep walking. If it moves down the list, turn left.
3. Repeat stage 2 until you have zeroed in on the exact area.

Ok, spoofers. Reading the documentation about incense range and distance it appears the ideal speed to walk is 200 meters a minute to get ideal spawn rates while using incense. That's 12kph.
Walking at 10kph I've confirmed eggs still hatch.
In about an hour I'll try to hatch a fresh 5km egg at 12kph and I'll see how long it takes to hatch, if it hatches at all.
I'm trying to find the ideal speed to spoof my routes. 10kph isn't bad though.

In lockito you can set a route using waypoints (only for roads) and set a custom movement speed.
I wish there was a way to set it to loop the route and never stop walking, but as it stands I have to reset it every hour on a 10km circuit. This is fine for now though because there's no point in moving more than 10km with 10km eggs being the biggest.
