I just came back to TF2 after some 2 years and my fps drops to low 50s during big fights, it's really triggering me. I used to run this shit at 150~300. Now it's all over the place. Lowering settings doesn't seem to help

Casual Mode, the recent and upcoming changes to Casual Mode, the community server browser, and community servers are not adequate alternatives to the Quickplay menu and Valve pub servers.
Matchmaking is not wanted for casual play. That's the whole reason why Competitive exists. I know rankings do not matter in Casual Mode. I am talking about the actual action of matchmaking that was added to the casual TF2 experience in the Meet Your Match update.
The Quickplay menu and Valve pub servers should never have been touched in an update about Competitive Mode. During Competitive's beta, regular TF2 gameplay was unaffected. This is how it should be now.
Changing Casual Mode to be more like the Quickplay menu and Valve pub servers is not the same thing as returning the Quickplay menu and Valve pub servers.
I repeat, because I've seen so many games and websites try to make something new and unwanted a pale imitation of the thing that people want restored:

In those Valve pub servers, autobalance and the ability to have vote kicks needs to be in place. They are vital parts of the game. Any other casual TF2 game experiences and options that were removed need to be restored as well.
There are problems with two PASS Time promotional items. All of the above should be top priority, but keep these in mind:
- The PASS Time Early Participation Pin was not given to everyone who played PASS Time during its beta.
- The PASS Time achievement "Jackpot!" is not counting round wins.

The new weapons are built around playstyles, rather than stats.
