In the following months though, people started to realize what a load of shit the whole thing was, and everyone became a lot more bitter and disillusioned. It was kind of sad to watch all of that lore hype fade out and die after Scott's box shenanigans.

If you'd like my humble opinion, I'd say you should take the default, and fill the space between the crotchplate and the thighs with hydraulic details, like she's got in her neck.
You could also try "cutting up" those number 2 hips, so it had more visible robotic parts. If you could give her the number 2 hip shapes, while maintaining the default roboticness, it would be perfect.
