No, even at max the Sharp weapons have such incredibly delayed switch times that there's no difference.

The new stun durations are just garbage and in Sharp's case, it does nothing but pause the zed so you can reload your crossbow. In some respects it's down to stumble-tier because it causes the zeds to spaz out just as quickly as they were stilled, and they block their heads with abrupt arm swings the same.

I didn't get it right. But no point in changing dbs for anything offperk, right? It's better to use handcannons on trash, conserving support ammo. Still, I haven't found a good use of support on HoE, just the dosh requirements make him a liability.

Well jesus christ no wonder people complain about every perk feeling the same, rather than having some perks excel at one area they whine about how scrakes and FPs aren't fucking their shit up hard enough so in the end every perk is just a glorified trash killer.

This problem would probably be solved if they just spammed more trash zeds so it's more important to keep your demo and SS from being overwhelmed while they try to kill scrakes and FPs but I'm pretty sure there are technical limitations that prevent them from just spamming dozens more trash zeds

Alright alright, now that the initial panic is over, I had a quick solo game with the new SS, just on Sui Long, just to get a general feel for things.

Basically, needless to say, stunning is no longer a part of the plan. Like, at all.

For the first Scrake I met with an M14 I emptied my mag into his head. Good news is, he died, bad news is, no stun, unfortunate.
Similar news for the first FP. Blasted half a mag into his glowing chest, no stun.
Both of those were with Ballistic Shock enabled.

So basically, what I'm doing now is running Slavshooter. Ballistic Shock just doesn't seem to mean shit now, especially on the M14.
An extra 30% while crouching isn't really my thing, but it's good for the first volley on an approaching big guy I guess, or if your team of bodyguards is good enough to let you crouch undisturbed.

Look on the bright side partners, at least the damage is still untouched.
I will miss being able to stun and kill big guys before they could hurt anyone, but I'm afraid those days are just about over.

It could be worse. I'm not happy about this, but at least I still have move speed, damage, REU, and ammo.

What's the point of stun now? The duration is a joke, and you can only achieve it with few weapons. You might as well just not have it at all. It's like 3% bonus damage for Commando's Rapid Fire. For what? Shit and giggles?

The two main reasons I see, which went through TWI's mind as they just looked at the numbers, was that they didn't want people stunning with it off-perk, but still let it stun scrakes on headshot with Ballistic Shock. Though, stun is so useless now that the skill for it might as well be removed and remade as a level-up bonus for sharpshooter, just doll up the numbers again.
It's really just a feature of the crossbow at this point, where you can get 1 free reload during the fight.

i get the wanting to prevent off-perk stun lock but that's more of a problem with the m14, which weighs less and all has such a high probability of stunning that you can just blind fire mag dump on a raging scrake/fleshpound to stun it then run away.

the railgun is too heavy to be used by most in terms of off-perk. the only time i see it used off-perk is buying bulk to fight hans, but even then it's not as common as off-perk rpg. I just genuinely do not understand why they halved the stun-lock probability on a weapon that weighs a lot, is slow to fire, requires either time to lock on or very good accuracy seeing as it's a one shot reload and is the highest tier weapon for the SS.

PLUS duration of the stun is fucked. they've reduced the probability of stunning, and the effect of stunning. that makes no sense. reduce one or the other. like you said, it's made the stun likelihood perk utterly useless.

TW are giving us the illusion of skill since we have to jump through so many hoops to solo magdump a SC/FP as any class without any fuck ups what so ever.

I used to pick zerker just as the kinda "easy" class if I couldn't be arsed to play as one of the normal classes. You could run around and melt whoever you want and be pretty much impervious to big lads because of the health, resistance and parrying, which was fun I guess.

I think it's probably been nerfed -too- hard, though. Just getting a bit more health or speed by default and making parrying more effective would be enough imo.

This. Did this for some games and found it worked really well to skirmish someplace where trash zeds spawn, plus it also keeps an escape route clear. Melee flinch really just locks down a lot of incoming damage, making the regenerative perks more than fruitful allowing you to hold the team's blind spots by yourself.
