I want to get some opinions for my DaS3 build
right now i have a 30 in dex and faith, but i've been thinking of respecing to take most of those points out of faith and put it into Dex and Str because i rarely use miracles and mostly use my faith for a lightning lothric knight sword.
Besides the LKS i also use the astora straight sword and the sunlight sword. both have faith requirments, but it doesn't seem like a higher faith stat benefits them in any way.
So, should I lower my faith and put those points back into str and dex since i never use miracles?
also, what infusion should I put on my astora sword? I think sharp, but i'd like to get a more informed opinion

I do characters based on builds, set 1 were these guys + my first character and last one being a sl1 build, the first set was stereotype based, in order:
sorcerer, pyro, faith/cleric, bleed/luck, heavy/shield/strength, light/dark magic/dex, dragon/animal, dark/black pyro/faith.

My suggestion would be to take the time to farm your Proof of Concord Kepts or Wolfblood Swordgrass now while you need levels. I ended up with 2.5m on NG+1 when I farmed. Yes you'll only have the Covetous Ring normal but it's still worth your time if you need souls too.

I think this will suck, buffs are better on faster weapons where you get more hits and the added damage is relatively a much bigger difference. Think 500 AR ugs gets another 100 from buff, compared to a 200 AR dagger getting another 100 while also hitting much faster. Because buffs add flat damage as far as I know and don't scale with your weapon type/damage in any way.

It's long but exceptionally thin. The only reason you wield it like an UGS is because the length makes it too poorly balanced to wield otherwise. It probably does have less total mass than most greatswords. This is also why the AGS only has barely more AR than most greatswords, and only achieves that AR through its exceptionally high scaling. People easily forget that the AGS' damage is quite pathetic compared to the rest of the UGS class, and the only thing that made it good was the rolling attack being bugged.
Washingpole is always unnaturally heavy for balance reasons. It's mainly just an abstraction because, unlike straight swords, there aren't classes of katana, so it can't have a moveset that accurately portrays the way that the weight balance changes the performance of the sword, and it's just represented by its weight stat instead.

BKS has the highest stability in class, but can't parry, which is a huge downside.
People tend to underestimate how valuable parrying is on a medium shield because it has poor frames compared to light shields, but being able to setup parry is one of the most powerful tools a medium shield can have because it effectively makes you unpressurable. Despite having high stability, BKS is vulnerable to sustained pressure from a small and fast weapon, because you can simply continue to step forward and swing as they backpedal or roll away. Lothric shield can deal with this because it has the ability to threaten setup parries against aggression, which effectively shuts down a lot of sustained pressure options. That easily makes up for the difference in stability, if you ask me. The only time I'd choose BKS over it is when an enemy has high fire damage on their weapon or when I'm using a weapon that benefits greatly from 1H WAs, like Lothric's Holy Sword.

They can't combo off snek if they get hit, which is why I'm not really afraid of it.
Especially with any kind of HA weapon, snek is just an invitation to fuck face.
I like the concept of the spell, and I loved Fire Snake in 2, but I think it desperately needs some fangs because right now the damage doesn't really match the risk. People only respect it because they don't realize how little damage it does.

They are excellent for setup parries though. You might have a tougher time against ss/cs because they'd need to swing 3 times for the swing lag to kick in, but against gs or spears it's piss easy especially against r1 spammers

Snake in second had a painfully limited tracking, never got hit by it.
In third it at least can cross over obstacles and hit from impossible angles so it's pretty useful in certain situations and worth a slot unless you're on pontiffs.
