Grimm Eclipse was an enjoyable game despite being so fucking bare and devoid of content. It's no Devil May Cry, God Eater or Dynasty Warriors but it was alright enough.The issue is the fucking story is barely there, Dr.Merlow was interesting and felt somewhat menacing during his conversations with Ozpin and his chatter while you fought through his lab. I was expecting a real boss fight against Dr.Merlow is some kind of mech like the Roman fight from the show or Dr.Merlow after he fused himself with a grimm or something but nope. We got a PS1 era boss fight against a green death stalker and a shitty ending. Would it have killed them to at least give us a Metroid style "Get the fuck out before this place explodes" sequence?
That ending cancels out everything good about Grimm Eclipse. Even more so when you realize they hinted at more with the post credits snippet of dialogue. They're going to try and sell us the second part of the story on top of DLC characters.
