1. Find the spot where they spawn.
2. park your accessory there with the "initiate-counterattack" command.
3. it's useful if the accessory has an overpowered AWW2 that can 1hit kill them.
4. lure the abductor away, preferably to a place far away from your accessory, preferably a place where a big wall can separate you and the abductor, or a high wall you can climb on top of, or the crevice between two buildings, etc. just somewhere where the abductor can't hurt you too much and you only need to move around minimally to avoid those purple blasts.
By the end of 1 game you should have a ton of parts from those small critters.

I might be going crazy but if you target the weak point it seems to drop generators or whatever, but when I targeted a regular spot on it it dropped the carapiece.
As for the other 2 I'm not even sure there are missions with them in it before chapter 8.

From what I've played so far I fuck up double / tripple notes because I don't know which ones to press. It's not that it's hard to execute, it's just that they're too fast which means that you have to remember them. You can easily press 2 buttons with just one thumb since the DS4 was apparently designed for girly hands. You also have the option to just bind shit on the triggers if you really want to cheese it.

In the arcade version (that I got a chance to play during my visit to Niponland), some Nips were purposefully missing notes because of how fast and hard the notes came at you.

Yeah but you didn't explain to me how it's harder. Like use your left thumb for triangle / square and the right one for X / O and you're good to go. I mean have you ever played a fighting game or something with a DS4 were things like throws are mapped to 2 buttons simultaneously? Also some of the very fast notes are easier with a DS4 since you can just alternate like in the previous games.

The hold notes are harder when you're trying to hold down more than one while also hitting other notes, I wasn't even talking about holding down all 4 at the same time. You don't have to worry about this at all though if you use the triggers for 2 notes at a time.
The only thing the DS4 really gives me trouble with is when I have to tap the d-pad several times in a row.

I primarily use the stick, and the number of notes onscreen can be so daunting at times that I lose track of which inputs to prioritize.
Aside from that, the short vs. long swipe notes usually fuck me over, but that's something that I can fix with more practice.
The hold notes can get messy in that they sometimes want you to hold on to those inputs for as long as you can while throwing swipe notes at you. And like I said above, swipe notes fuck me over, so coupled with yours truly dropping hold notes to prioritize swipe notes, it's not a pretty sight.
Still a fun-as-fuck game though.
