It got so out of hand that one Pharaoh had to seal away his name and memories as well as his very soul into a puzzle in order to keep these games from every appearing again.

TCG has Extra Deck Monarchs with Artifact Durendal acting as a pseudo-Infinity and Pleiades, not to mention Ehther plays with Stormforth
Phantom Abyss setting 3 traps and getting 2 dantes on field
Kozmo players using Fire King builds to get Dark Lady and cockblock plays with Tincan + Dark Destroyer
Dracopals even use Titanic Galaxy and try to setup a field that allows them to survive and OTK next turn
So yeah, every deck needs a form of stun or disruption to be good on current meta

Blue-eyes uses Spirit Dragon to floodgate pendulums, PSY-Frames, Soul Charge, Magician's Naviagation and rekt floaters.
It also uses Crystal Wing and Hope Titanic.
