Double click a spell (it needs to be a boostable spell and you need to have enough magic in the magic pool) to overcast the spell
There's a 50% chance that the caster damages itself though!

Select the quest battle (on the map or through quest log)
There's a button in the bottom right of the quest battle window that you can use to teleport for 5k gold (when the battle's finished you're automatically teleported back to your original position)

they're called Warplock Jezzails apparently

So another thing on Skaven lore, I remember someone asking a few threads ago, something important that wasn't mentioned are the greater clans. They each have a specialty, and rent their troops out to lesser clans. (Like the one the player hypothetically uses.) They all have someone in Vermintide.

There's (And correct me if my spelling is wrong, it's been a while)

Eshin, who are literally ninjas. The gutter runners are their main troops, faster than regular skaven, but they fight in loose formation and are vulnerable to a straight up fight. They also have assassins who are good at wounding or killing heroes and can be hidden with the clanrats to pop out at you.

Moulder, the beastmasters. The grabber rats and Rat ogres are from moulder, they also have packs of giant rats.

Skyre is mad scientists, the make the Ratling guns, along with the jezzails in OPs pic, and their other various demented machines which tend to blow up.

And Pestilens, who are into plague and disease, obviously. They have the poison wind globadiers, as well as plague monks and cencer bearers. Nurglesque.

So the four factions are competing while selling their stuff to the various lesser clans all scrambling for power.

Also, on topic: Does anybody use pure cavalry stacks? I've been thinking of having one to support my more balanced attacks, but I haven't been able to pull it off in my Orc campaign because I keep getting distracted... it's maiden voyage, "Operation escort my new Arachnaroxi to the front lines" turned into a battle... barely edged out a big dwarf throng with none of the spiders and many goblins dead, which is pretty ideal.

Hope to at least get some major news this month. Blood Knights were supposed to be there in the first place and while the blood is amusing it wasn't much of an update and the units balanced are either still not worth their cost (I'm looking at you entire chaos roster) or the opposite.

Disappointed 80% of magic users are still bad, only missiles and direct damage is still impactful.

I don't agree. It takes some time to replenish, so mercs are still useful, especially to soak casualties and in enemy territory. In the old games the lack of replenishing just resulted in a lot of unnecessary walking back and forth to replenish, and generally unneeded management that slowed down the game.

I hate that bug. Once I had one of the elector counts surviving with 1 army consisting of him with 1 hp. He kept searching my ally, autoresolving, and running away with 1 hp. He did this for like 10 turns. I finally went over there with franz, the battle consisted of me double righ clicking on him with franz on Pegasus and watch franz kick him in the head with a charge. The count went flying and the end battle screen instantly popped up.

giant has terror and bursts down games in seconds, big spider has poison and is pretty good at dealing with anything that might try to flank you, a unit or two of savage boar boy biguns are good for killing shit thats trying to run away and rear charging to make shit run away, night gobbo archers have poison

orcs have quite a few useful units, but spamming black orcs also works, the dullest faction is actually chaos, your chosen are so good that having something like 17 units of them in an army + general, and 2 fast units for chasing down enemies actually works perfectly

high tier army chaos tactics in SP is literally just ctrl+g and then rightclick at the enemy

WAR was all about the holy trinity + ranged DPS though, so they had to come up with elf tanks

dark elves had the blackguard which was anti-caster + living through sheer hate, which kinda worked. but then they had to come up with a high elf that could match ironbreakers, black orcs and chosen for sheer toughness

turns out dealing additional spirit damage does not make a good tank

Put missiles on wall, watch them rape enemy together with towers. Defend the gate with some units just in case. If the enemy reaches the walls, replace missiles with melee. If you're feeling like being tricky, use any kinks in the wall to shoot enemy units that's made it onto the walls in the back.

ok, I have:
2 warrior units
2 miners units
2 quarrelers units
2 thunderers units

they are attacking from the front dividing their force in three parts (one per gate)
they kept 2 siege towers in the centre

my idea was to put 1 warriors and 1 miners on the centre walls and shooters+ a melee unit per side (they ONLY have the towers at the centre)

so, everything on the walls. would that work?

Because big monsters and heroes have special abilities and utilities that give them purpose on the battlefield. Whether it's a necromancer giving you more regeneration and soaking up potential miscasts, or a terrorgheist having both terror and AP damage.

They're just SO SHIT. I take them cause I need a ranged armor piercing units but this is ridiculous. Pic related is my thunderer units, still sitting with over 50% ammo reserves despite my best attempts at making them have clear firing positions.

As a side note, my 2 unit quarrelers had used all of their ammo after 16mins. I lost a lot of unneeded units cause the ranged damage wasn't there in dire times. What a piece of shit, I thought they fixed them?

You shouldn't be placing them in frony of your army. Either place them on elevated terrain so they can fire over your main line. or create gaps in your line for gunner to fire through.

Artillery should have no problem firing over your main line if you just place them behind it.
