How does Icefrog solve the offlane? Before, you'd pick Puck/WR and go hit ancients for the first ten minutes. Then came the lane changes (creep walk speed, changes to camps near the offlane), and it seemed to be alright. Now you buy iron talon and go farm. Every single game.
Right now, 1 support gets their carry a 1 level advantage via harass or pulls and then the offlaner cannot step into the lane or the carry can usually solo kill him. Even heroes that used to need 2 supports to babysit them for ten minutes can get solo kills by ten minutes (spectre, AM).
Is iron talon the problem or would those offlaners be in the jungle anyway? Or is it just "safe" (but less) farm, where the lane is risky?

yeah but most agi carries don't permanently disable you for 60 seconds straight so you can't fight back or escape or activate items or anything but crawl around as a little piggy with 140 ms
sheepstick tinker is an automatic guaranteed kill in any 1v1 scenario, completely shutting down solo split pushing or carrying lategame. Then in 5v5 fights tinker can just sit back and spray missiles with aghanims until there are lone heroes to shut down with sheepstick

They don't need to permanently disable you for 60 seconds straight, they just kill you. Bane can keep a target locked down for 12 seconds with literally zero gold. In a span of 21 seconds, Bane can disable a hero for 20 of them. With arcane rune, aghs, or Octarine it becomes 25+ seconds of disable.
Keep in mind that a rubick that steals rearm functions like a tinker with 10k+ net worth.
