I tend to use Kapkan traps on rappelling windows, areas blocked by deployable shields. Double or triple trapping with barbed wire/Frost trap/Kapkan is a lot of fun, since people usually only think that one trap would be there at most. Be creative and good hunting, comrade!

Yes if you've got a party of people to play it with. If you don't, I'd be more hesitant. There's a lot of people who use voice chat, but there's also a lot of teamkillers, cheaters, and asshats that can ruin the experience. Ubisoft has at least made the matchmaking more smooth on consoles, but the amount of cheaters, the almost complete lack of punish for trolling in any mode but ranked (and the still easy ability to troll in ranked), and some technical glitches really hurt things. But if you get the right groups of people, it really is one of the best FPSes to play right now.

in my experience most people are very nice and reasonable. Only at higher levels, at over 100, you start coming across them, there's this sweetspot between level 30 - 80 where people are cool.

I got this game alone, had fun alone and the 4chan teamspeak is more than welcoming to new faces.
Sure it has problems and hackers but fairfight has recently started to work properly and hardly a round goes by without 1-2 messages of people being removed.

I'm sick and tired of my garbage gold team mates with KDs and win loss ratios around or below 1 getting matched up against a team of all diamonds with 4.0+ win/loss ratios. This is fucking ridiculous and games being consistently uneven as this doesn't happen in any other game I've ever played, and this shit happens literally every other match without fail. It'll place me with shitters against all diamonds and then the next match I get the easiest game of my life, then after that it's back to square 1 over and over and over. Yes, that's the whole point of laser sights. They increase hip-fire accuracy, or in the case of shotguns, tighten the spread.

also you always want to be the one peaking, 90% of the time, when you're defending trying to watch a corridor as a defender, strafe in and out of view of the corridor, and odds are you'll catch the opponent as they are moving down the hallway, so there will be a significant enough time between you seeing them and them seeing you that you'll have the advantage in the gunfight.

My reflexes are so sharp to this game, That snap to teammates dropping down from another floor and shoot before I even register who it is. I've teamkilled from pure reflex more time than I can remember. I've learned that it's better to do that than to wait to confirm target. Better to be forgiveness than to be dead, if you ask me (and seriously, I apologize profusely and offer to let them pop me next round if we loose. It usually works)

Not all golds are the same, etc. Someone at Gold IV is gonna be better than someone who just cracked Gold I, why is the only thing indicating this a slightly different icon that you can barely see as it is?
You should be matched with people within 1-2 ranks of your team's average overall. Take 5 people, calculate what their rank average is and find a team with a similar average.
