Hmm, gameplay-wise might be a bit hard to pull off. Obvious thing would be to always stay at the minimum equip load for going fast.
As far as weapons go, you probably wanna go for a quick mainhand with a shield or other tool to parry in off-hand. Or any MH you like really, hell, get a hammer and two-hand if for that Kirkhammer vibe. Pyromancy flame with mist pyromancies if you wanna mimic the Rosmarinus/Flamesprayer.
Honestly, I'd say as long as you keep up the minimum equip weight and don't rely on shit like shields or heavy armour, you should be golden.Hell yeah, high five, man. Season 3 soon, though I didn't like the OVAs much. Gonna be interesting. Wish I could muster up the motivation to play the game again too, but Ankama just keeps dropping the ball.

Generally speaking, Professional is the way to go. Twelve endurance is all you really need, and that means you can get to meta level stats by level like 80.

You should use a regular hunter pistol for parry attempts. Repeating pistol should be used for damage in PvP and against bosses with weak heads. You can only carry 10 BMA, and BMA buffs both of a repeating pistol's bullets.

Putting a couple of points into bloodtinge for access to the Reiterpallasch would be a good idea, I think. Its bullets get damage scaling with physical damage, so you don't need to invest very much in bloodtinge to get decent bullet damage, and then you can put a shield in your offhand and still be able to parry.
Also, don't bother putting much into endurance. It's a luxury stat, and especially as a skill build your weapons use borderline no stamina, with the exception of the Burial Blade if you like that. 15 endurance is really the upper end of what a skill build could ever need.

Gems and Chalice Dungeons were a great idea, but implemented pretty shittily. Everything in the regular game is fun, whilst doing Chalice's the only insentive is the fun you will have later with your OP gems, but once you're OP with maxed gems there's nothing left to do except farm more gems or PvP.

I was thinking I take out Amelia, running through the Forbidden Woods to get into the Clinic, then running through the forest I always confuse with the Forbidden Woods to Hemwick and get to the Obelisk thing where my chariot awaits.

The first two get all their physical scaling from skill, and the gun mode doesn't make a lot of sense when you have stronger stuff like Evelyn and Repeating Pistol in the left hand.

The luck stat thing was perfected in BB, if you want to make leveling item discovery a choice the player has to make, make it so there's a viable path the player can take with the luck stat and attach to a stat that forms a build around the player (Arcane).

With the amount of detail to specific weird things and symbolism in the game and how consistent and just not rushed it is, I'm sure Miyazaki thinks of it as his best work.

What's called "dream" is nothing but an alternate dimension that's as real as the waking world, it's not a dream in the literal sense.
Every dream is made by a great one and hosted by a human. Gehrman was captivated by the moon presence and turned into its host.
At the end of the night Gehrman wanted to free you from the nightmare, but you say no so he had to do it drastically.
After his demise the great one who made the dream captivated you and turned you into the new host. You still have to see the other endings.

Gehrman was the final boss because you did what was needed of you and killed Mergo. You wernt needed anymore so Gehrman was going to set you free from the dream to go back to being a normal, mortal person. But you refused his offer of a mercy killing and he assumes you've gone mad, so he fights you instead. Once you beat him you get made into the new caretaker of the dream, because the being that came from the moon and face fucked you needs someone to do that.
Spoiler:you didn't get the true ending, it gets weirder
Also do you have the DLC? It's really fuckimg good, and very important lore wise, I'd suggest playing it before looking up stuff online, especially if you got this far un-spoiled.

There's much much more to it, but that's the very basic set up.

An alien dimension, another world. Vast swathes of it are presided over by powerful alien creatures we know as Great Ones who desire surrogate children as their own die. The School of Mensis, secret higher ups of the Church, want to give the Moon Presence a baby.

A layer of the Nightmare presided over by the nameless Moon Presence (there's a secret ending you missed, go back and find three third cords, eat them before the end of the game and defeat Gehrman)
The Nightmare is an obscure reference to the Dreamlands stories of H.P. Lovecraft, who set a bunch of fantastical stories in a realm humans accessed via sleep, but other beings accessed in different ways. It may be that humans in Bloodborne access the Nightmare via sleeping, hence it's name.

What I'd like to see is the area immediately outside of Yharnam, with small villages getting increasingly isolated from each other the further out you go. Real Dunwich territory. Lonely moors, desolate manor houses on hillsides, crumbling villages in valleys. Valtr and the player are outsiders, where did they come from? Valtr chased a beast INTO Yharnam, meaning there's beasts outside the city. You have to wonder, in isolated places with strange people, how bad does the beast scourge get? Small wooded hamlets stalked by the once-village priest who has turned into some awful, stalking beast, family members shut away in abandoned farmhouses becoming blind, eyeless beasts in the darkness maybe there's some spooky Great One shit out there, too, people who, somehow, made contact unbeknownst to Byrgenwerth. Will they ever relax the restrictions on chalice dungeons so that you don't have to go through all the story chalice every time you make a new character? That and gem grinding are what keeps me from coming back. It really should be account wide.

You know friends, it just hit me, Arcane is to Strength what Bloodtinge is to Skill; a stat that that supplements and grants/enhances certain weapons enhanced secondary properties. Wheel, HLMS, and Tonitrus for Strengh/Arcane. And Chikage, Reiter/Rifle Spear and Bowblade for Skill/Bloodtinge. Bloodtinge governs more firearms than hunter tools, and Arcane governs more hunter tools than firearms.
Bloodletter being the exception to this rule.

The str/arc synergy is perfect, skill/blt not so much.
Weapons like reiter and rifle spear only benefit from skill, chikage only from bloodtinge.
Bloodtinge is also better with str since it allows you to use church cannon, gatling gun and bloodletter.

I just blank out when I get summoned to gold cups. Those fucks don't need help with depth one and two at level 65+.
Even worse, I ran into someone today who was beckoning in depth one layer three and just running the level, and later I got summoned by the same fucking guy, only this time it was right at the start of depth two. So he didn't even go anywhere in the layer, he just rang as soon as they got in.
I'm almost convinced these people do it because they know that no one wants anything to do with that shit.

Why not go for some beasts that are nods to the Color Out Of Space? at low insight they don't move, and just lay on the ground like piles of moldy grey furs but they still cause Frenzy if you are near them, at middling Insight they stand up on two of their appendages and lurch towards you and try to remove your face and at high insight to see the dirty great tentacle that is doing this, you do see what it is attached to, you just see it fading into reality and entering the body.

We won't get a sequel but if we did, I think it should begin with some kind of departure, in Bloodborne you begin by arriving in Yharnam, and only ever hear about people coming to Yharnam from all over, and there's so many hints of the world Yharnam is isolated from. For a sequel a solid beginning for me would be to awaken in a massive train, or on an ironclad or a galleon like in the White Ship, with the bearded captain taking the place of the Blood Minister.
