It'll work out well enough, Emoji has better skill growth than Strategist and tomefaire in case you decide to switch to that later, and Sakura does well in any staffer class, though I usually prefer Falcon Knight since it flies and has Rally Speed.
Priestess is less useful for Elise aside from Shining Bow, since she won't have the HP for good Renewal heals without a few robes, and has too much Res for Magic Counter to give good backlash damage. I've done it before though, and the Shining Bow damage is ridiculous, even magic resistant Falcos get whomped by it from her.

Hayato starts with passable bases but has split offenses like the other spellcasters and horrid skill(which Oni does no favors with). If you have Grandmaster access he's easily your best spellcaster out of the three, and that will get him better skill than any of his other options. Witch and Dark Falcon both help fix Orochi's speed though, which is her only real flaw aside from being unable to take a hit(and needing arms scrolls if you intend to use Bolt Naginata without grinding super weak stuff).

Even then Heartseeker helps others more than her since she usually wants to attack at range unless it's an Archer. I feel that Witch is the only class that can save her. Tried Dark Falcon both times in Conquest and she never got that good, in addition to having a Bow weakness.
