The entire point of the ending of X4, and much of X5, is that while X doesn't specifically go maverick they don't know WHY or HOW.
Getting infected too much kills X, so they probably realized in diagnostics that X's systems are harmed by the virus. It's probably just that in X's case it's really just dead or alive, no inbetween crazy. But since they don't know why, X is afraid that maybe he's already gone maverick because he's had to go out and fight and survive longer than anybody else.

Not sure where you're going with the first one. The second one sounds like with a little tweaking, it could be a title theme.
Third one sounds like a cutscene theme for the the beginning or middle of the game?
The fourth one actually sounds sort of like a pokemon theme with Mega Man instruments? If you tweaked it though it might fit a desert stage.
The fifth one sounds like it could be a wily stage theme if it had stronger instruments.
You might want to change the instruments in the 6th one but's got potential.
